Fountaine Pajot announces FP51, updated version of Aura 51 catamaran

Fountaine Pajot has presented the FP51, a new designation and updated version of the Aura 51 catamaran for model year 2027. The announcement completes the renewal of the Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans range with the new naming system.

The shipyard has retained the characteristics of the previous model while introducing modifications to design, equipment and onboard spaces. The changes address ergonomics and fittings with the objective of simplifying sailing.

Design and helm station modifications
The FP51 features a new hull livery aligned with the visual identity of the recent generation of Fountaine Pajot catamarans. The helm station has been redesigned to improve comfort during navigation.

The new helm console accommodates larger navigation screens, positioned to improve readability. A hard top completes the setup, offering protection for the helmsman both underway and at anchor.

Deck hardware
Deck equipment has been modified to facilitate maneuvers. The FP51 integrates next-generation Lewmar deck hardware, including tracks and ball-bearing blocks to make maneuvers smoother and increase equipment durability.

A lashing system developed with Incidence Sails allows the mainsail to be hoisted effortlessly. This solution, already used on FP41 and FP44, is now available on FP51. The running rigging has been reinforced to ensure improved durability over time, particularly in the context of regular use.

Technical features and comfort
From a technical standpoint, the FP51 features a remote battery cut-off switch, accessible from the interior electrical panel, simplifying day-to-day power management and enhancing onboard safety. The new exterior upholstery, introduced on recent models in the range, is now available on FP51 with improved material quality and durability.

Finishing refinements have been made in the cabins without changes to volumes or interior layout.
