Southern Wind, a leading name in high-performance luxury sailing yachts since 1991, is proud to announce the launch of its new brand identity, marking the next chapter in its evolution. This rebranding reflects the company’s growth into a forward-thinking, international corporation, while staying true to the core values that have defined it for over three decades: dependability, versatility, and responsibility, as well as a deeply personal approach to yacht ownership.

"While our brand has evolved over the years, we’ve never lost sight of who we are: not only a shipyard, but a partner offering unforgettable yachting experiences", said Marco Alberti, CEO of Southern Wind. "But we felt it was time to describe more clearly who we are today and where we’re headed in the future. This rebranding serves as a reflection of our current and desired positioning in the sailing superyacht industry”.

The essence of the new identity

The heart of the new Southern Wind identity revolves around a unique philosophy: "The Perfect Balance."

"On the ocean, extremes in demands, needs, and wishes might seem to oppose each other. But at Southern Wind, these contrasts don’t compete; they blend together. This is what we call: The Perfect Balance", explained Alberti.

“We continue to deliver yachts that are both reliable and ocean-worthy, blending innovation with moderation, performance with comfort, and lightness with dependability. Southern Wind is always at the leading edge, never chasing the bleeding edge. We aim to project our heritage into the future”, added Andrea Micheli, CCO of Southern Wind. This principle is inspired by Aristotle's timeless wisdom: “In Medio Stat Virtus”. It’s not just a design philosophy; it’s a guiding principle that shapes every aspect of Southern Wind, from the design and construction of its yachts to its internal culture and marketing strategies.

A Bold new logo

At the heart of the rebranding is Southern Wind’s new logo, which reflects the brand’s evolution. The new logo presents "Southern" and "Wind" on a single line, reinforcing the name’s strength and significance. The monogram artfully blends rounded and structured lines, symbolizing the harmonious union of contrasts: performance and comfort, tradition and innovation. The circle represents the sense of belonging to a community of like-minded passionate sailors.

"This new chapter reflects who we are and the values that define us", said Andrea Micheli, CCO of Southern Wind. "We guide our clients through a complete journey, beginning with the initial concept, evolving through smart customization, and extending beyond delivery with a suite of bespoke services. The development of Southern Wind’s new brand identity was a collaborative effort involving the company’s leadership and marketing teams and two renowned partners. Both GMK Brand Consultants, based in Cologne, and award-winning Tatic Designstudio from Milan, played instrumental roles in shaping the brand’s evolution, ensuring that it accurately reflects the corporate values and vision for the future.

An Unforgettable Unveiling Ceremony
The new brand identity was officially revealed during a memorable Southern Wind Family Dinner, held at the beautiful Atzaró Agroturismo in the heart of Ibiza's countryside. The event was hosted during the prestigious Ibiza JoySail, where the new image was warmly received by Southern Wind’s owners and crews.
