Oyster Yachts' service is in Las Palmas is beyond expectation
The Oyster Yachts Technical Support Team is currently in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to provide complimentary health checks, servicing, and advice to the 27 Oyster yachts that have gathered at the island's main marina.
14 of these luxury bluewater cruisers are in transit to Nelson's Dockyard, Antigua to begin the Oyster World Rally 2022-23, a 16-month circumnavigation of the world starting in January. A further four Oysters are making their final preparations for the ARC+ from Las Palmas to Cape Verdes and on to Grenada, that starts on the 07 November, while the final nine yachts are getting ready for the ARC event which takes them from Las Palmas to St Lucia direct, starting on 21 November.
Oyster Yachts commit to this complimentary annual service to support their Oyster family ahead of the Atlantic crossing. The team of Oyster experts on the ground in Las Palmas are all experienced sailors and previous Oyster skippers who are well equipped to help owners with all aspects of their yachts, from engineering, systems and rigging, right through to well informed advice about the transatlantic crossing ahead.
Louis Goor, owner of Irene IV, an Oyster 655 comments: "I am simply overwhelmed by the kind gesture that Oyster Yachts has given Irene IV in the way of a full Health Check while in Las Palmas. We had not expected such a thorough investigation into so many of the yachts systems, machinery, and workings and it really goes over and above any expectations we had and has proven to be invaluable. As you say yourselves 'beyond expectation' – and this could not be more true."
