Legendary boat builder Christoph Rassy has passed away

The legendary boat builder Christoph Rassy has today silently passed away at the age of 87.

No other person has meant so much to the Swedish sailing yacht industry as he did. Hallberg-Rassy is today a cruising sailing icon world wide.

Christoph Rassy was born in Germany 1934 and came to Sweden in 1960 with two empty hands to build sailing yachts. The rest is history.

The boat yard Hallberg-Rassy is in family ownership and family management. Since almost 19 years the company group is headed and owned by Magnus Rassy, one of Christoph's two sons.
