Videoworks has developed AVIT Panel, a web-based platform that centralises the management of audio-video and IT systems aboard superyachts. The system addresses a practical operational issue: on large yachts, entertainment, data networks and satellite connectivity are increasingly interlinked, yet often managed through separate tools.

The platform operates on what the company describes as an "overlay" approach: it does not replace the systems already installed on board, but sits on top of them, connecting, organising and making them accessible through a single interface. AVIT Panel can be accessed from any device and adapts to the specific configuration of each yacht.

The interface is built around the user. Through a widget library, each operator has a personal dashboard and, based on assigned permissions, sees only the information relevant to their role: the captain gets a summary view of the vessel's status, the IT technician can access network details, and the crew has access to day-to-day operational controls.

The platform is organised in modules. Environmental monitoring tracks temperature and humidity in real time in sensitive areas such as engine rooms, server rooms and technical spaces, sending automatic notifications via email, Telegram, Modbus or UHF radio when values exceed set thresholds. PDU (Power Distribution Unit) management allows remote control of each individual power outlet supplying onboard equipment, with the ability to power on, shut down or restart a single device.

On the security side, AVIT Panel integrates CCTV control with pan, tilt and zoom management, and tools for network access policy management. Satellite connectivity monitoring, with a focus on Starlink, continuously analyses speed, latency, signal quality, service continuity and obstructions, with data available both in real time and as historical records.

For network diagnostics, the platform includes a Traffic Analyzer for data flow analysis, filtering by address, protocol and VLAN, and a graphical representation of the network topology. The firewall module manages security rules with presets for recurring operational scenarios such as "Captain on Board", "Crew Only" or "Charter", along with mDNS service management for platforms like AirPlay or Spotify in multi-VLAN environments.

Additional features include a centralised document library with natural language search, a device identification module using QR codes or barcodes, onboard environment management (lighting, blinds, climate control) by area through a General Arrangement module, and an AV control system with virtual remotes, source assignment and a centralised audio manager.

Videoworks, based in Ancona with offices in Europe and the Americas, specialises in the design and integration of AV/IT, security, automation and entertainment systems for the yachting sector.
