CorkMood: the natural elegance of cork conquers yacht interiors
CorkMood: the natural elegance of cork conquers yacht interiors
There is a moment when a material ceases to be a simple covering and becomes emotion. This is what happens with CorkMood, the new creation by SACE Components, which brings the authentic charm of cork from exterior decks to the heart of yacht interiors — transforming it into an element of décor, a language of style and sensation.
After revolutionizing decking with MarineCork, the Italian company now introduces a collection of decorative cork panels that redefines the concept of onboard comfort and sustainability. With CorkMood, nature becomes design.

A material that breathes with space
Cork, a living and mutable material, finds a new expression in CorkMood. Each panel is designed to interact with light, touch, and the atmosphere on board. Surfaces can be fluted, engraved, or sculpted, creating three-dimensional textures that change appearance depending on the angle of view.
Nine aesthetic variants, natural or lacquered, allow endless combinations of warm and cool tones, light or deep shades, matte or satin finishes.
Its lightness and flexibility make it ideal for walls, bulkheads, and ceilings, turning every environment into a sensory experience: quieter, more welcoming, more genuine.
Beauty born from nature
CorkMood was created from the desire to preserve the authentic soul of cork, while shaping it with contemporary geometries and refined finishes.
The result is a collection that adapts naturally to every design language — from classic high-gloss interiors to minimalist layouts of the new generation.
“Cork is a living material, capable of changing the perception of space,” explain the SACE Components designers.
“It gives warmth and depth without weighing down the environment, transforming it into a natural and sophisticated retreat.”

Invisible technology, tangible comfort
Beneath the elegance of its surfaces lies a high-performance technical core.
Cork is naturally insulating, sound-absorbing, and lightweight — qualities that in a marine environment translate into true wellbeing.
The multilayer versions, with double cork layers, enhance soundproofing and thermal stability, reducing vibration and noise.
Each panel is treated with a UV-protection coating developed by SACE Components to preserve color and resistance over time.
The material does not absorb liquids, is easy to clean, and can be recycled or regenerated at the end of its life cycle — a sustainable luxury without compromise.
From deck to cabin: a new design philosophy
CorkMood will make its official debut at METSTRADE Amsterdam (18–20 November), also as a finalist at the DAME Design Awards 2025.
A recognition that celebrates not only innovation, but also the vision of a company capable of translating the lightness of cork into a new aesthetic of marine comfort.

Nature, once again the protagonist
The cork used in CorkMood comes from sustainably managed forests in Portugal, Spain, Italy, and North Africa, harvested through methods that respect the vitality of the tree.
Each panel is unique, just like the bark it originates from — a natural material shaped by technology to express an idea of authentic and responsible design.
With CorkMood, SACE Components writes a new chapter of natural luxury:
a perfect balance between innovation and the poetry of matter, where cork becomes form, light, and sensation — the very essence of living the sea.
