The Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award unveils the members of its international jury. Jo Aleh (NZL), Gilles Martin-Raget (FRA), Glenn Ashby (AUS), Nicolas Mirabaud (SUI) and Anne-Cécile Turner (FRA) will choose the best sailing photographs taken in 2021.
August 2, 2021 - The Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image photo competition is delighted to present its international jury 2021. The twelfth edition of the leading international photo competition dedicated to sailing as a competitive sport is open, and professional sailing photographers from all over the world are invited to submit their best picture taken since 7 October 2020.
Gilles Martin-Raget (FRA), winner of the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image of the century (2020), Glenn Ashby (AUS), America's Cup sailor and multiple world champion, Nicolas Mirabaud (SUI), Managing Partner, Mirabaud & Cie SA, Jo Aleh (NZL), Olympic champion in London 2012 and Silver at Rio 2016, and Anne-Cécile Turner (FRA), award-winning sustainability expert, will select the best sailing photos of the year.
Initiated in 2010, the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award aims to give the opportunity to sailing photographers from all over the world to share their passion with the public.
"Although the situation is not yet fully stabilised, professional photographers have been able to resume work and cover major international events such as the Olympic Games, the SailGP circuit and the Vendée Globe", says Nicolas Mirabaud. "We look forward to seeing the images that illustrate this renaissance, and to celebrating the world's best sailing photographers."
The top eighty images selected by the international jury will be published on the event website on September 14, allowing the public to vote for their favourite photo.
The main prize, the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image award, will be selected by the international jury whilst the public prize will be based on votes collected on social networks.
The submission of photographs is open until September 7 at midnight on the event website.
