More than 30 members are taking part in the Cannes Yachting Festival.

The Association is planning to attend the forthcoming boat shows and to present the new Market Monitor in Monaco on 27 September.

Milan, 15 September 2017 – More than 30 members of NAUTICA ITALIANA – the association, affiliated to Altagamma, representing high-end Italian boating business in the Industrial, Services, and Local Businesses/Institutions sectors – are currently taking part in the Cannes Yachting Festival, being held until 17 September 2017, to present their latest production.

After the Cannes boat show, the members of NAUTICA ITALIANA will attend the Salone Nautico, to be held in Genoa from 21 to 26 September, and then the Monaco Yacht Show, from 27 to 30 September, where over 35 member-companies are expected.

The autumn boat shows season is an indicator of where the boating market will be heading to over the next few months. It extensively involves a large number of Italian boating businesses, thereby bearing witness not only to the top quality of Made-in-Italy products – Italy is indeed a world leader in the large yachts, accessories and maxi-RIBs sectors – but also to the great momentum the Italian market and yachting industry are currently experiencing.

“This last year has been very important, packed with activities and events, and characterised by excellent results for our Association and for the Boating Industry as a whole. After an outstanding summer for recreational boating in our country, the boat shows season that has just started is further evidence of the market’s sound recovery” – stated NAUTICA ITALIANA’s President Lamberto Tacoli. “In Cannes I met with several colleagues to take stock of recent achievements and to talk about NAUTICA ITALIANA’s new projects. We are now ready to start the new nautical year with renovated commitment and enthusiasm, aiming to achieve tangible results that will benefit the entire sector. In the very near future our Association will be committed to supporting its members during the forthcoming national and international boat shows and events and, on 27 September, on the occasion of Monaco Yacht Show, will present the new Market Monitor, elaborated by Deloitte” - concluded Tacoli.

Standing by its members and supporting them in their national and international activity as well as monitoring sector trends at a worldwide level, are just some of NAUTICA ITALIANA’s key pillars and objectives.

During the Monaco Yacht Show, NAUTICA ITALIANA will present the new advisory study “Marine Industry Market Monitor – Superyacht Insight”, elaborated by Deloitte for NAUTICA ITALIANA and Altagamma. The presentation will be held on Wednesday 27 September at the Hotel Hermitage in Monaco.

NAUTICA ITALIANA can currently boast more than 90 members, representing shipbuilding and new building (35%), refitting (10%), accessories and components (24%), services (22%), and marinas (9%). Based on 2016 data, the overall turnover of NAUTICA ITALIANA’s members companies is about €1.7 billion – a figure that considerably benefits from the more than €1.45 billion resulting from shipyard production only -, totalling more than 4 thousand direct employees and 15,000 people in related activities.
