Omikron Yachts unveils upgrades on OT-60 at Palma International Boat Show
Omikron Yachts, the Greek shipyard born from the expertise and technological know-how behind the historic Olympic Marine, is participating for the first time in the Palma International Boat Show from 29th April to 2nd May, 2026. The prestigious event held at the Moll Vell Marina in Palma de Mallorca will be an opportunity to showcase Omikron’s award-winning OT-60 introducing new propulsion options.
Omikron Yachts has chosen this year’s edition of the Palma International Boat Show as the stage to present a new unit of its acclaimed OT-60 featuring new elements that enhance the onboard experience and offer additional performance options. The shipyard will attend the show in collaboration with its Spanish representative Flensburger Yacht Services, led by Anja Eckart.
On this latest hull, Omikron has installed an alternative, more powerful engine configuration with twin Yanmar 370 hp engines, allowing the yacht to reach top speeds of 19–20 knots while maintaining the efficiency and long-range cruising characteristics that define the OT-60 concept. This option also enables more relaxed engine operation at cruising speeds, contributing to an exceptionally quiet and smooth ride. This development is the result of the shipyard’s ongoing engineering work on the OT-60 platform: thanks to its in-house expertise and flexible construction approach, Omikron is able to continuously refine the model and adapt technical elements to meet the specific preferences of individual owners.
The OT-60 showcases the engineering expertise of Omikron Yachts, combining advanced naval architecture, precision construction and a design philosophy focused on efficiency and long-range cruising. Developed with renowned naval architect Juan Kouyoumdjian and featuring exterior and interior design by Lorenzo Argento, the yacht features an Eco-Cruise hull designed to minimize drag at real cruising speeds. With a displacement of around 20 tons, vacuum-infused composite construction, and a carbon-fiber superstructure, the OT-60 is significantly lighter than most yachts in her class. Combined with optimized propulsion, these solutions reduce fuel consumption, enabling quieter operation, extended range, and more sustainable cruising.
The shipyard’s participation in the Palma International Boat Show thus marks an important step in strengthening its presence in the Mediterranean market. With its debut at the Spanish show, Omikron Yachts continues to expand its international visibility while presenting a version of a model that has already attracted strong interest among owners looking for a more efficient, refined and contemporary cruising experience.
