Nautor Swan today unveiled its 2026 programme at Boot Düsseldorf, marking a milestone year as the Finnish yacht builder celebrates its 60th anniversary. Founded in 1966 in Pietarsaari, Finland, Nautor Swan has built a legacy of performance, innovation, and timeless elegance, becoming the most iconic brand in the global sailing world.

“Nautor Swan is a brand deeply rooted in the public imagination, even beyond the sailing community – it is one of the very few yachting brands recognised outside our world,” said Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Swan. “Swan is the yacht every sailor dreams of owning because it delivers tangible achievements: winning round-the-world races, enabling owners to sail anywhere or compete at the highest level, always without compromising on elegance or performance.”

The press conference took place during Boot Düsseldorf, Europe’s leading indoor boat show, held on the banks of the Rhine. In the sailing hall, the Nautor Swan stand showcased two admired models: the Swan 51 Dual Energy and the ClubSwan 28.

Swan 51 Dual Energy: Tradition Meets Progress

The Swan 51 on display is the fourth unit built and the first to feature the Dual Energy technology developed with Oceanvolt. This advanced hybrid solution allows fully electric sailing, hybrid operation assisted by a genset, or energy regeneration while sailing.

The Oceanvolt system is based on a 48V ServoProp 25 (25 kW) saildrive – a liquid-cooled electric motor with a controllable pitch propeller, designed for optimal propulsion and exceptional hydrogeneration. At sailing speeds above 8 knots, the ServoProp can regenerate up to 5 kW of power, enabling true energy autonomy on long passages.

This reliable and easy to manage configuration allows silent motoring up to 8 knots, with boost power available when required. Intelligent energy management enables seamless switching between electric, hybrid and charging modes. With less than 500 kg added compared to a conventional diesel setup, and no impact on interior layout, trim or performance, the result is a low-maintenance, globally serviceable 48VDC solution delivering all-day quiet sailing and peace of mind.

The Future is Swan

In 2026, Nautor Swan will launch the Swan 80, renewing the success of the 78 already a benchmark in the highly competitive 24-metre segment. The yacht features a hull by German Frers, deckhouse styling by Lucio Micheletti, and interiors by Misa Poggi, making its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

In the coming months, Nautor Swan will unveil the Swan 73, completing the Swan line and the Swan Alloy 44, the brand’s first aluminium supermaxi, merging innovative construction with a distinctive and enduring identity designed by Malcolm McKeon and with the interiors by Christian Liaigre.

Meanwhile, the New Product Development team is working on a new range of bluewater yachts. The first model will be a 24-metres developed with Rolf Vrolijk, offering a modern reinterpretation of large-volume yachts designed for long-range cruising.

ClubSwan: A Community Beyond Racing

The Swan owners’ family continues to grow and evolve, creating a space where every sailor can find their place — a community built around three complementary expressions of the same vision.

Alongside ClubSwan Racing, dedicated to one-design classes and their established racing circuit, Nautor Swan introduces ClubSwan Legacy and ClubSwan Spirit.

· ClubSwan Legacy celebrates historic Swans built after the brand’s foundation, including yachts designed by Sparkman & Stephens, Ron Holland, and German Frers up to the 1990s.

· ClubSwan Spirit unites owners of modern Swan yachts, connected by a shared passion for adventure and the joy of sailing together.

Together, We Sail Forward

A major international racing season has been announced, featuring for the first time an extensive American calendar with seven events, in collaboration with Terry Hutchinson and American Magic, confirming Nautor Swan’s investment in revitalising competitive sailing in the United States alongside the European Nations League circuits.

The highlight of this landmark year will be the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo, organised with Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, scheduled from 14 to 19 September. Registrations open today, marking the official start of the 60th anniversary celebrations.

The first entry is Tarantella, the very first Swan ever built, returning as guest of honour after a full refit and an impressive offshore passage sailed by a crew of Nautor Swan employees. Sharing the spotlight will be the modern icon Swan 128 Be Cool, her dual-energy sistership, and the new Swan 80, competing after their debut at Cannes. This year’s edition promises to feature a record fleet of over 120 yachts expected to take part.

“I am proud to be part of this story,” concluded Giovanni Pomati. “Not only as a manager of the company, but also as a Swan owner and sailor. It is both a pleasure and a responsibility, because Swan is a reference point for the entire market. We are celebrating a birthday, but our focus is firmly on the future. With the support of Sanlorenzo, we are charting new horizons, evolving while never losing sight of our legacy.”
