On this sunny Monday morning, KM Yachtbuilders launched its newest vessel, the Bestevaer 56 Namaste. The yacht, which was designed by Dykstra Naval Architects, is sure to attract the attention of aficionados of luxury sailing yachts with her modern interior, beautifully painted hull and latest technologies.

Although KM Yachtbuilders usually delivers the hull as bare aluminium, the owners of this vessel have requested that the hull be painted white. In addition, the carbon mast is also completely painted white. This makes the 56-foot vessel a remarkable and unique appearance. The Bestevaer 56 Namaste has a centre board and is equipped with the latest sailing technologies, such as a fully electrically controllable transom flap and a hybrid electric motor with a diesel generator. Because everything is small, light and/or electric, the yacht is easy to operate. Most of the interior was developed by the owners, who have a background in design. This has resulted in a wonderful mix of modern style, comfort and functionality.

The launch is always an important milestone for the yard and the owners, because after a year and a half working on the yacht, this is the first moment she hits the water. After wonderful words from the owners, she was officially christened ‘PantaRhei’. The name PantaRhei comes from the Greek philosopher Heraclitus and stands for ‘everything in motion’. This fits well with the sailing lifestyle where everything is different every day. Ulrike, owner of the vessel: “Sailing is a way of life and we’re so proud to live part of our lives on this boat in the future because she’s so beautiful, she’s fantastic and she’s our new home for many years to come.”

In the coming weeks, the finishing touches will be made and the vessel will be delivered within a few weeks. The owners will first take her to explore the English waters, then they will sail towards the Caribbean and enjoy the tropical climates.
