Ferretti Group at the Cannes Yachting Festival with record breaking figures

The Group is an absolute star of the 40th Cannes Yachting Festival with a fleet of 25 yachts, the largest of the event, and 6 premieres, indeed a record of this edition. The Group presented brilliant financial and economic data for the current year, which consolidate its position at the top of the nautical world Cannes, 12th September 2017 - Ferretti Group participates at the 40th Cannes Yachting Festival, riding the wave of success that distinguishes its activity in the last few years, full of news and record numbers. At the Côte d'Azur show that indicates the official beginning of the new nautical year, the Group exhibits the largest fleet of the event, 25 yachts from 8 to 37 meters, amongst which also the magnificent Rivamare at the entrance of the kermesse, in front of Palais des Festival.
Further outstanding figures are the 6 premieres and 1 restyling in representation of the Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Riva and Custom Line brands, an impressive record of the 40th edition of the Festival: - Ferretti Yachts 780 and Ferretti Yachts 920, besides the new version of Ferretti Yachts 550; - Pershing 9X; - 56’ Rivale and 100’ Corsaro for Riva brand; - Navetta 33 for Custom Line brand. After an exciting and rich summer agenda, Ferretti Group’s press conference opened the Cannes Yachting Festival that has long been one of the world's leading events. Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group, together with the Chief Commercial Officer, Stefano de Vivo, presented the financial results achieved until August 2017, with figures, even in this case, that go beyond expectations, confirming the targets for the entire year. "For the nautical world Cannes is like the Oscar night. In this occasion, one can tell who are the yacht builders that really count, who is truly growing and at what speed. It is no coincidence that our Group has the largest number of yachts on display and the most global premiers amongst all participants: 6 world premier models of open, coupe, flybridge and maxi yachts, representing 4 of our brands. It is the confirmation that our industrial plan is proceeding in the best possible way" - said Mr. Alberto Galassi.
"These new models, alongside the others on display, represent a fantastic fleet of 25 yachts between 8 and 37 meters. Moreover, today in Cannes we also announce brilliant and over the expectation financial results, obtained by investing in our resources, time and energy, of a Group at the top of the nautical world. Thus, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the first eight months of 2017 have been characterized by an order book in line with our goals and sound financial data." As at August 31st, 2017, Ferretti Group recorded a consolidated order book for serial brands equal to 259 million Euros, in line with the budget estimates for the current financial year.
The Group expects to close the year with a total purchase order for serial brands of around 400 million Euros, confirming and consolidating the extraordinary result already achieved in 2016. The Group continued its strong commercial penetration on a global scale. In percentage terms, as at August 31st, 2017, Europe - Middle East - Africa contributed for 53% of new orders, Americas for 28% and Asia Pacific for 19%. The commercial success and the continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity in all the Group’s shipyards led to the achievement, after the first 8 months of 2017, of consolidated revenues of 344 million Euros, +10% compared to the same period of 2016. EBIT and EBITDA, as at August 31st, are both positive, 24.5 million and 37.3 million Euros, respectively. These results led to a firmly positive profit before taxes, reaching 16.5 million Euros as of August 31st, 2017, with a 57% increase compared to the results 12 months ago.
The Ferretti Group stand is set up in the Espace Riviera PALAIS057 JETEE 011 exhibition area, while the Custom Line yachts are moored at the Super Yacht Extension, in front of the SYE193 lounge. At JETEE 008 pier visitors can admire Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing and Itama fleets, moored in front of their respective lounges. In addition to the 6 new yachts, Ferretti Group’s fleet in Cannes is composed of: - Ferretti Yachts 450, Ferretti Yachts 700 and Ferretti Yachts 850 - Pershing 5X, Pershing 62, Pershing 82 and the maxi coupé Pershing 108 - Itama 75 - Iseo, Aquariva Super, Rivamare, 63’ Virtus, 76’ Perseo, 76’ Bahamas, 88’ Florida and 88’ Domino Super for Riva brand - Navetta 37 for Custom Line brand. As usual, Ferretti Group collaborates with numerous prestigious luxury partners during the Festival that further enrich the unique experience of visitors and shipowners, already gratified by the yacht visits and sea trials. This year Pershing and Poltrona Frau celebrate their ten-year partnership anniversary.
The brand’s consolidated partner is the designer and producer of the entire soft décor on board, while Ixoost presents its finest quality audio systems featuring a contemporary and genuine design on the Pershing yachts. Seabob, one of Ferretti Group’s sponsor for the Soirée Nautique (the late opening night of the show that will take place on Friday, September 15th), offers a fun and fast paced water experience to Ferretti’s guests. Moreover, the brand presents its world premier limited edition with customized livery, designed specifically for the Group's brands.
