Premiere seen at Boot: the new Dufour 37 designed by Felci YD

Winner of the best Design Innovation award, the Dufour 37 was on display at the Boot in Duesseldorf showing innovative lines.

As for the navigability of this yacht, she benefits from a modern and stable hull as you’d see on offshore racing boats, but with a slightly rounded lower hull that favours her passage through the water, this help to reduce the sound inside the yacht. This new hull form allows for a greater power/weight ratio and offer large spaces: The feel at the helm is improved and offers more pleasure to the helmsman whatever point of sail you are on.

On this new model, the mast has been lengthened to give increased sail area and this makes this yacht even more powerful. The Dufour 37, like her predecessor the Dufour 360, has a single rudder and twin steering wheels. Thanks to having just one rudder, futur owners will enjoy greater responsiveness and liveliness as she is under way.

Winner of the best Design Innovation award, the Dufour 37 is running for the European Yacht of the Year 2023.

Interior: spacious and bright

For the interior, there are two layouts available to answer to the wishes of the owners.

In the two-cabin version, owners will enjoy a very large bathroom (and a large exterior storage locker), as well as two independent cabins, including the owner’s suite at the front. Six berths are possible thanks to the saloon table which can be transformed into a berth.

In the three-cabin version of the Dufour 37, up to eight guests can be accommodated. In both layouts, owners will find a forward owner’s cabin whose size and comfort is rarely found on a yacht of this length.

The Dufour 37 benefits from the major innovations that made the latest Dufour sailing yacht such a success:

• Fully inflatable cockpit upholstery and a front sundeck completes the exterior features of this new model.

• Inside, the saloon table becomes a third or fourth bed (depending on the version chosen)

• the plancha grill, found on the aft deck, is an essential feature on the latest Dufour models

• The hull and deck windows have been enlarged to make the saloon a very bright space

3 Versions like 3 models

The “Easy” version is for owners and renters looking for simplicity and comfort. The refined traditional manoeuvring plan, with its two winches and its self-tacking jib is the perfect compromise between performance, great mobility and comfort.

The “Ocean” version is ideal for owners who want a more traditional manoeuvring plan with the sheets positioned on the coamings and the halyard and mainsail traveler manoeuvers close to the helm station. This version with more sail area allows you to gain in marine performance.

The “Performance” version is ideal for lovers of great thrills and regatta sailors. With her 6 high quality winches, her clew at the bottom of the cockpit and her “Performance” equipment, this model is transformed into a pure-racer.

The Dufour 37 is available in two interior layouts and each version is available with three atmospheres: Millenium, Europe and Boston.

Dufour offers a new innovative program. The versatility of the deck layouts actually brings three different boats to offer. The multiple versions available allow to answer to charter companies as well as private owners. As for the Performance version, Dufour is definitely reconnecting to the racing roots of the shipyard.
