Meccano Engineering launches Medesign, unveils Infinity

Meccano Engineering presented the new Medesign brand on 24 September 2026 in Monaco, during an exclusive preview at the Monaco Yacht Show. Medesign is dedicated to custom yacht design and styling and was created within the company. The launch is part of a re-branding strategy aimed at making Meccano Engineering's four business units - Marine, Yacht, Defence and Energy - more recognisable.

For Medesign's debut, the brand unveiled the concept of its flagship, Infinity, in a world premiere: a 110-metre gigayacht with a beam of 16.3 metres. The mirrored superstructure at the bow forms the shape of the infinity symbol, which gives the project its name. The lines are described by the yard as essential, pure and dynamic, drawing on automotive design language, while the stern follows a vintage-inspired style.

Water is a recurring element on board, with pools set across several levels: one indoors on the lower deck, and one outdoors and panoramic on the upper deck. The aft area houses the SkyDomeTerrace, featuring a sunbathing area, a dedicated pool and a Magrodome system - a retractable glass covering that can protect the space in any weather. The guest cabins also have large outdoor balconies.

According to Meccano Engineering, the Infinity project and the Medesign brand are aimed at international owners and elite shipyards.

Meccano Engineering was founded in 2000 in Trieste by three partners with backgrounds in the naval and industrial sectors. The company operates in the Marine, Yacht, Defence and Energy sectors, with more than 25 years of activity and over 800 completed projects, working both as EPC-M contractor and Design Authority. It has offices in Trieste and Livorno, with a team of 50 engineers, technicians and designers. Its clients include Fincantieri, Mariotti, Vard, Ferretti Group, Azimut-Benetti Group, MSC and Crystal Cruise.
