Azimut Grande 44M, a four-deck flagship

Azimut brings the Grande 44M flagship to Monaco Yacht Show

Azimut is showing the Grande 44M, the new flagship of its Grande Series, at the Monaco Yacht Show from 23 to 26 September 2026. According to the yard, seven units were sold before its debut. The Grande Trideck and the Grande 30M will also be on display at stand QE8 on the quai des États-Unis.

Alberto Mancini designs the exteriors of the Grande Series and m2 atelier the interiors. On the Grande 44M, Azimut has added a fourth deck to a 44-metre yacht with a sporty profile. An enclosed volume on the Sun Deck houses the wheelhouse and the captain's cabin.

With the bridge moved up, the Upper Deck becomes the owner's deck. Forward, it opens with a lounge behind large windows, which can be opened at the sides. The owner can fit it out as a lounge, a dining area for 12, a media room or another custom layout. The rest of the deck can take a second panoramic saloon or an owner's suite with a private terrace.

At the stern, the Grande 44M carries over the Mezzanine Deck with Sea View Terrace first used on the Grande Trideck, now paired with a See-Through Pool. This transparent plunge pool keeps the sea in view and lets light into the beach club below. It can be covered to create a walkable terrace.

The split-level deck layout gives the beach club full headroom with no steps or changes in level. Side wings fold down onto the water, and the transom door holds a concealed hydraulic ladder for access to the sea.

The Grande 44M heads Azimut's Low Emission Yacht fleet. The builder claims CO2 emissions up to 30% lower than a yacht of the same size with conventional naval architecture, a figure it attributes to several combined solutions.

The first is the Hull Vane® foil, developed with the company of the same name. The carbon wing, fitted at the stern, reduces the wave generated by the hull and provides additional thrust. In steel it would have weighed 1,500 kg; built in carbon with Azimut's technical input, it weighs 400 kg. The yard says the foil cuts hydrodynamic resistance and reduces pitching and rolling.

The Dual Mode hull was designed by the Azimut|Benetti Group's R&D department together with P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture. It pairs a fast displacement bow with a semi-planing stern to optimise fuel efficiency across the speed range.

Half of the boat's surface, more than 1,000 square metres, is made of carbon. Azimut puts the saving at 8 tonnes in the highest parts of the yacht, which it says allowed larger interior volumes without compromising stability, performance or efficiency. The yard also links the result to the group's new Polo del Composito in Massa, which handles fibreglass and carbon fibre processing.

The Mild Hybrid system, developed by the Azimut|Benetti Group with Asea Nautica, uses two 50 kW electric motors configured as shaft generators and a 188 kWh battery room that can be expanded to 230 kWh. According to Azimut, it allows the yacht to stay at anchor with the generators off for 3 to 4 hours during the day and 8 to 10 hours at night. The batteries fully recharge in two hours at 15 knots, so the passage to the next bay can be used to restore range in Zero Emission mode. There are 30 square metres of solar panels on the fourth deck to support the hotel load.
