At 53 metres in length and below 500 GT, the Project53 is Baglietto’s new offering in the 50-metre segment, combining generous volumes, aluminium construction and a strongly custom-oriented approach. The sale of the first unit, commissioned by a longstanding client of the La Spezia shipyard, also brings the number of yachts sold by Baglietto in 2026 to five.

The project bears the signature of Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design, already responsible for the Project58. For the new yacht, Gobbi developed the exterior design and will also oversee the interior concept. The profile is defined by sleek, dynamic lines, a vertical bow and extensive glazed surfaces designed to increase natural light and maintain visual continuity between the interiors, exterior areas and the sea.

A significant part of the design is dedicated to outdoor living. The sundeck offers particularly generous dimensions in relation to the size of the yacht, with areas devoted to relaxation and socialising. At the stern, the beach club opens on two sides and incorporates a swimming pool and fitness/SPA area, while a central transformer provides easier access to the water. The owner’s suite is located on the main deck and features large windows and a spacious walk-in wardrobe. The interiors developed by Gobbi are conceived as bright, contemporary spaces, with particular attention paid to visual and functional continuity throughout the yacht and to the possibility of adapting the project to the owner’s individual requirements.

The all-aluminium construction was selected to achieve a balance between performance, stability, range and operational efficiency. The Project53 is expected to exceed a top speed of 16 knots, while keeping the yacht below the 500 GT threshold allows it to combine the volumes and onboard solutions associated with larger yachts with the operational characteristics of a 53-metre vessel.

“We are particularly pleased to announce this new order,” comments Fabio Ermetto, Chief Commercial Officer of Baglietto, “which confirms how the market is increasingly oriented towards projects that offer generous volumes without giving up a genuinely bespoke approach. The Project53 perfectly embodies this philosophy: a contemporary and highly recognisable Baglietto yacht, while at the same time capable of adapting to the specific requirements of each Owner.”

Delivery of the first unit is scheduled for 2029. With the Project53, Baglietto therefore adds a new design platform in the 50-metre range alongside the Project58, maintaining customisation at the heart of the project and seeking to concentrate, within the 500 GT threshold, the space, comfort and usability typically associated with yachts of greater volume.
