Posillipo Technema 78', first unit nears completion

Posillipo shipyard is completing finishing work on the first unit of the new Technema 78', due to be launched at the end of July 2026.

The project is designed by architect Carlo Galeazzi, who has worked alongside the shipyard since the conception phase of the boat, in keeping with the brand's tradition. The design study began about two years ago and covered the exterior design, the layout of interior spaces and the evolution of style elements typical of Technema yachts.

Galeazzi describes the new stylistic elements: "Aesthetically, among the various elements of stylistic innovation, perhaps the most distinctive feature is the saloon's glazing, which originally reinterprets the style element found on all Posillipo yachts: the distinctive shape separated from the central motif. The same aesthetic approach is applied to the hull glazing that brings light to the lower deck and follows the same stylistic reference. Another new element is the addition of the lateral 'wings,' which, at the stern, connect the gunwale to the flybridge structure, also enlarging the cockpit space."

He continues: "Another new and distinctive aspect can be found in the shape of the transom, which follows the current trend of ideally connecting the saloon and the sea, creating a close relationship between the two spaces. We created several levels descending toward the water surface, with sofas, sunbathing areas and a convertible coffee table to free up additional space. Beneath these volumes is the tender garage. There is also considerable flexibility in the bow area, depending on the owner's requests, where a relaxation area is fitted, protected by a removable awning supported by carbon poles. To guarantee the privacy of the owner and guests, the layout of this area of the yacht allows for different solutions regarding access to the quarters reserved for the captain and crew."

Below deck, the yacht has four cabins, including the owner's cabin, all with a private bathroom. A day toilet is also fitted on the main deck. The crew area consists of two separate cabins, which can accommodate between two and four people.

Registered under 24 metres in length, the yacht will be fitted with 1,800 or 2,000 hp engines, with exhaust silencers and shaft-line propulsion. A double 220-volt generator is planned.

For the first unit, the owner chose the more powerful engine option and stabiliser fins. In keeping with the shipyard's tradition, each owner can choose the materials for the interior fit-out; for this model, it will also be possible to choose between two interior layout options, differing mainly in the position of the crew area.
