SAIM 75 years: convention on history and future
SAIM turns 75 and retraces its corporate path at convention
SAIM marked its 75th anniversary with a corporate convention in Milan, held on July 1 to coincide with the company’s founding date in 1951. The event closed the SAIM 75 project, which had been developed over previous months through cultural and participatory initiatives focused on the company’s identity.
The day combined institutional speeches, external contributions and entertainment moments, with the aim of highlighting people’s role and strengthening a sense of belonging. Throughout the event, management referred to the results achieved and the company’s development prospects, while the anniversary project emphasized the link between corporate history and future direction.
Massimo Donà, Chairman and CEO of SAIM, described the convention as “much more than a celebration” and “an opportunity to recognize the commitment and value of the people who helped build our history, and to share a common vision oriented toward the future”.
The initiative’s concept, “Deep roots, a look toward the future,” guided the entire anniversary path. Marco Donà, Vice Chairman and CEO of SAIM, said the company wanted to create “an experience capable of actively involving all participants,” adding that “innovation, technology and sustainability are essential levers for our development, but it is human capital that gives them meaning and direction”.
The July 1 convention also marked the conclusion of activities that involved employees in photography and short-film competitions, scholarships and video productions carried out with NABA, the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. Tarpini Production handled the creative direction and production of the overall project.
On the industrial side, SAIM continues to operate in the automotive, industrial and marine sectors through SAIM Marine, SAIM Industrial and SAIM Engineering. The company, the first ZF distributor in Italy, supports its business with pre- and after-sales service, central functions and an R&D department focused on proprietary solutions.
SAIM Marine works with leading Italian and international shipyards, supporting clients from project development through commissioning and after-sales service. In 2022, the group acquired a majority stake in Atlantis Marine Power, a UK company distributing Kohler-Rehlko marine generator sets in the United Kingdom.
