Baglietto has released the first design details of Project Farah, a 49.7-metre full custom yacht under 500 GT, currently under construction at the shipyard in La Spezia with delivery scheduled for 2027. The project is the result of a collaboration between Matheus Farah, Manoel Maia Arquitetura and Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design, responsible for both exterior and interior design, while Royal Yacht International is overseeing the entire development on behalf of the owner.

The design is based on a clear concept: translating the perception of a domestic environment into a nautical context, shaping the idea of comfort and hospitality on board. The name “Farah” itself refers to the concept of happiness, which becomes a guiding principle in defining both the onboard spaces and the overall experience, while maintaining a focus on key aspects such as safety and seakeeping.

From an architectural standpoint, the yacht is defined by symmetry and formal coherence. The layout is organised through fluid spaces designed to ensure continuity between different areas and efficient onboard circulation. The configuration has been developed to provide flexibility, allowing spaces to be reconfigured according to different operational needs.

The exterior lines follow an essential approach, with clean surfaces and no superfluous elements. The hull features a metallic grey finish paired with a black superstructure, contributing to a restrained and contemporary profile. The vertical bow reinforces the yacht’s seagoing character and suggests a design approach also oriented towards performance.

This formal consistency continues in the interiors, developed according to a “warm modernism” language. The spaces are arranged with a contemporary and minimalist approach, enriched by the use of natural materials such as wood and leather. The dominant tones range from browns to sand colours, complemented by golden accents and a lighting design conceived to create a soft and enveloping atmosphere.

The project also includes a helipad, expanding the yacht’s operational capabilities, while propulsion is provided by two Caterpillar C32 engines, enabling a maximum speed of approximately 16 knots.

Project Farah is positioned within the fully custom yacht segment, where Baglietto continues to develop projects tailored to specific owner requirements. In this context, the yacht represents a synthesis of design research, customization and shipbuilding expertise, with particular attention to the balance between form, function and onboard living quality.
