Boero Yacht Coatings Technical Partner of Ferrari Hypersail

Boero Yacht Coatings, the yachting division brand of Gruppo Boero, announced today at an institutional event in Maranello its role as technical partner in the Ferrari Hypersail project. The programme, led by Team Principal Giovanni Soldini, is conceived as an applied research platform focused on high-performance sailing, centred on the development of a monohull designed for ocean endurance competitions.

Boero Yacht Coatings' contribution to the project concerns the development of a complete coating system designed to perform under high-stress conditions, integrated into the overall architecture of the vessel. In this context, the optimisation of coating thickness has a direct bearing on the vessel's weight: reducing each layer to the minimum required while maintaining performance contributes to the efficiency of the whole system.

The premium top coat used as the finishing layer of the application cycle represents the interface between the vessel's structure and the marine environment. The solutions adopted draw on existing technologies within the brand's portfolio, developed specifically for this experimental context.
