Yachting Dinner Night - Amsterdam
Yachting Dinner Night - Amsterdam
What is the one thing capable of bringing together twelve architecture and design studios, five international design brands and dozens of influential figures from the superyacht world with absolute ease? Food.
And Filippo Ceragioli and Susanne Storåkers of Ceragioli-Storåkers, together with Gianluca Lupi, the organisers of the event, know this better than anyone.
This simple intuition sits at the heart of YachtingDinnerNight | Amsterdam, the culinary challenge that has become an unmissable yearly fixture for the superyacht industry. Now in its sixth edition, the event—organised by Towant in collaboration with Filippo Ceragioli—transforms a group of leading shipyards and yachting personalities into chefs for one night.
Rather than presenting projects or design philosophies in the traditional way, the protagonists of contemporary yachting are invited to tell their story through a dish specifically created for the occasion. Each plate becomes a narrative of origins, identity, craftsmanship or ambition—served directly to a select audience of yacht designers, architects, design brands and specialised media. Their task: taste, evaluate and vote.
This year’s line-up was particularly notable.
Among the participants were Feadship (represented by CMO Farouk Nefzi and PR & Communications Manager Francis Vermeer), Oceanco (with LCA Project Manager Johan Kaasjarer, Project Manager Frederik Marks and Sales Manager Refit Anton Smit), GX Superyachts (with CEO Vladimir Zinchenko and PM Andrea Armas), South Red Sea Shipyard (represented by Yacht Manager Ryad Eldogueshy) and Forbes (with Yachting Editor Bill Springer).
The evening unfolded at Orchid House Restaurant in Amsterdam on 18 November, following an earlier Preview Aperitif inside the Superyacht Pavilion at METSTRADE, hosted at the ModelMakerGroup stand. The aperitif offered an informal first encounter with shipyards, architecture studios and design brands before the main event.
At 19:30, guests gathered for the welcome drink and introductions, followed by an elegant five-course dinner. Each participant presented the dish they had conceived, and the jury evaluated the creations across three criteria: Concept, Presentation and Taste.
More than 40 invited guests—including twelve leading architecture and design studios and five major international design brands—took part in what has become one of the most anticipated networking evenings of the season. Unsurprisingly, the event was fully booked weeks in advance.
And the winners of the 6th edition?
Oceanco — Best Concept & Press Award
Feadship — Best Taste, Best Plating & Best Dish
YachtingDinnerNight | Amsterdam once again proved that the most unexpected form of storytelling can be the most compelling—especially when it’s served on a plate.
