The first event of the racing season for the Yacht Club Isole di Toscana concluded successfully, much to the satisfaction of participating boat owners and sailors. The skill of the race committee and the experienced team of club collaborators ensured the event was managed safely, allowing for the completion of seven out of the eight scheduled races despite the week's unpredictable weather.
The regatta was characterized by intense and intricate races, featuring a variety of wind strengths and directions, posing significant challenges for the tacticians.
The leaderboard remained tight, with positions at the top changing throughout the various days, keeping the competition open until the final day. On Sunday morning, the boats reached the racing course with only a few points separating the top positions in the ClubSwan 50 class and an exciting tie among the top three in the ClubSwan 36 class. The last two races proved decisive in determining the winners. With an impressive final day (3-1), GSPOT (with Croatian tactician Tomislav Basic) claimed the lead in the ClubSwan 36 class, while PERHONEN (with British tactician Adrian Stead) benefited from the discard race to maintain the top position among the 50-footers, despite finishing second and eighth respectively.
The event also marked the inaugural stage of the Nations League 2024, the Swan monotype circuit. The prestigious circuit will now move to new racing waters for the second leg: the Swan Bonifacio Challenge. Boat owners and skippers expressed great satisfaction and appreciation for the racecourse, hospitality, and professionalism encountered, with many of them now feeling at home at the Marina di Scarlino.

Yacht Club Isole di Toscana counts on the support of the Municipality of Scarlino, Marina di Scarlino and Resort Baia Scarlino.
A special touch is given thanks to the partnership with Rigoni di Asiago.
