Sanlorenzo has crossed another threshold, reached another goal. With the 64Steel Attila it launches its most prestigious and most imposing flagship, a 64 meter long vessel which is roomy, spacious, and welcoming like an 80 meter ship, rich in brilliant and courageous solutions, offering a qualitative level of on-board social life such as has never before been seen in a 1,600 GRT yacht.

With 1,600 gross tons, 64 meters of length, five decks and an internal maximum width of 12.5 meters, 64Steel Attila is the largest yacht produced by Sanlorenzo so far.

It is an innovative proposal thanks to a layout and structures commonly present in larger sized yachts that have enabled Sanlorenzo to adopt unprecedented solutions conceived to maximize onboard livability, married with elegant outside lines.

Among these, the Main Deck at the stern and the Beach Club on the Lower Deck surely represent the most distinguishing areas of the project. A strong mark of design and layout is the double stairway that connects the pool and dining area to the Beach Club equipped with a sauna, hammam, massage room, and gym, right at the waterline. With the bow mirror and the side platforms open, the Beach Club covers an area of 78 square meters.

“The most important aspect that has characterized the definition and the concept of this yacht has been the wish to provide continuity between the beach club and an area we could call the “al fresco” veranda, that is, the rear part of the Main Deck where the pool is also located, passing through an impressive stairway. The thinking behind the layout in fact enables us to integrate the main bow deck and the beach club as much as possible. This characteristic thus enables us to experience both areas, around which the social life on board is focused, simultaneously, without dividing or separating the guests.” Antonio Santella, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Sanlorenzo superyacht division

The flagship of the “Alloy” line of superyachts by Sanlorenzo produced entirely in aluminum with a fast displacement hull, the 64Steel offers various style characteristics that distinguish the project with respect to other boats of the same size:

•          the ability to reserve an entire deck to the ship owner, the Owner Deck, which hosts the bedroom facing the bow, outside which a large whirlpool bath opens up;

•          the ability to be able to load two giant tenders over 10 meters long midships; these can also be limousine tenders because the garages offer the necessary height as on yachts over 80 meters long, while the engine room has two levels.

•          the maximum true internal beam is 12.5 meters, also typical of a yacht over 70 meters long;

•          the helipad for touch and go, at the bow, which becomes an extraordinary solarium when not in use.

•          the 64Steel platform was designed so it can be extended to 70 meters to satisfy different requests.

“Ships are born around ideas. These are the ideas that gave birth to Attila, our 64 meter yacht, our flagship.” Antonio Santella

A real challenge for the production team was the creation of an enormous barbecue in the dining area of the main deck, a request which was particularly connected to the nationality of the ship owner, an Argentine industrialist who was already a Sanlorenzo client with the 46Steel Achille delivered in 2012, who was closely involved with the planning and construction of the new yacht from the beginning. The arrangement of an open fire in an enclosed space in fact required the use of A60 fireproof stainless steel and the installation of an advanced smoke removal system.

The crew, berthed in the Lower Deck, has reserved, independent routes available to it with two service stairs and a service elevator for the rapid transfer of cold and dry goods into the storage rooms. Below the Lower Deck, the Tank Deck is also found, where a refrigeration chamber, a refrigerated trash room, a multimedia room for the crew, a large laundry, and a climate-controlled “wine cellar” with a capacity of up to 500 bottles are found.

The four guest rooms and the full beam VIP suite are located on the Main Deck.

The interiors of 64Steel Attila were furnished and decorated by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini.

“We worked full speed with the owner and the shipyard – recalls Francesco Paszkowski – defining a modern space in South American style with natural elements such as teak, next to which the ship owner wanted to mix in many other materials he loves and which are part of his personal experience. Attila is the yacht of a man who lives life to the fullest. And lives his yacht.”

Regarding the furnishings, many pieces were custom designed while others were created by some of the leading companies of Italian and international design such as Summit, De Sede, Flexform and Catellani & Smith to name some.

“In my private and company life, I like to deal with the same people – declares the Ship Owner – building a yacht is a commercial proposition, but it’s also a question of trust. I’ve known Massimo Perotti for years now and having built my last boat with him and his team, the trust was already well placed. I knew that Sanlorenzo would be able to build the yacht of my dreams.”
