St. Barths, March 16th, Swan yachts were once again among the protagonists at the St. Barths Bucket Regatta, one of the most anticipated events of the Caribbean sailing season, held in the waters of Saint Barthélemy.
A total of 33 superyachts competed across nine classes, showcasing some of the most impressive and sophisticated sailing yachts in the world. Among them, a fleet of six Swan yachts stood out: the flagship Swan 128 BeCool, the Swan 100s Onyx II and L’Hippocampe, and the Swan 90s Freya, Hummingbird, and Swan 95 Lot 99.
The event featured a full program both on the water and ashore, including a cocktail reception organized, together with Edmiston, for Swan owners and friends, further reinforcing the strong sense of community surrounding the brand.

“Saint Barths is an incredible regatta, and I’m very proud to have shared its unique atmosphere with a fleet of six Swans, including our flagship Swan 128, which perfectly showcases the ClubSwan spirit,” said Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Swan. “The victories of Swan 90 Freya and Swan 100 Onyx reflect the outstanding achievements of the Swan fleet year after year, highlighting exceptional performance and the strength of true teamwork.”
Fresh and steady winds from the opening day provided challenging yet exciting racing conditions, testing crews particularly during headsail hoists on the downwind legs. On the final day, however, winds proved too strong to safely send the fleet back on the water, and the standings were therefore finalized without the last scheduled race, which might have reshaped some of the closest duels.

Among the standout performances, the Swan 90 Freya secured victory in the Le Petites Dames class, dedicated to yachts up to 90 feet, after a tight contest with Hummingbird. Launched in 2012, Freya has built an impressive racing record worldwide, thanks to the combination of a fast hull and a crew that knows the yacht inside out.

Another win for Nautor Swan came from Onyx, which topped the L’esprit de la Mer class reserved for Corinthian crews. Onyx, a Swan 100 launched in 2006, is a familiar presence on the international regatta circuit and once again demonstrated her competitive spirit.

Also drawing attention in St. Barths was the new Swan 128 BeCool, one of the most striking yachts in the fleet. Following her participation in the RORC Transatlantic Race, she competed in the Les Gazelles des Mers class, confirming her place among the most exciting new superyachts on the scene.

With strong performances, spectacular racing and a vibrant social program, the St. Barths Bucket once again proved to be a highlight of the superyacht racing calendar and Swan yachts were firmly among its leading protagonists.
