A New Standard in 50-Metre Explorer Superyachts

At 50 metres LOA with a 9-metre beam and 499 GT, the Bering 165 is purpose-built to redefine what a true transoceanic superyacht can be. Combining Bering’s legendary steel explorer DNA with refined luxury and sophisticated design, she delivers exceptional volume and comfort while maintaining full ocean-crossing capability.

Technical Performance & Practical Autonomy

Powered by twin Caterpillar 1,300 hp main engines, the B165 offers a comfortable 10-knot cruising speed and a top speed of 15 knots. With a 70,000-litre fuel capacity she achieves a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles at economical speed — more than enough to cross any ocean without compromise. Stabilisation systems ensure outstanding comfort both underway and at anchor, while the exceptionally spacious engine room is already prepared for future hybrid propulsion and a large battery bank.

Flexible Layout

The general arrangement is one of the most intelligent and versatile 50-metre plans currently available. Owners can choose between a Pleasure configuration with 5 guest staterooms plus a dedicated owner’s deck, or a Charter layout with 6 guest staterooms. The owner’s deck forms a private sanctuary of nearly 70 m², featuring a full-beam master suite, large en-suite, walk-in wardrobe, separate study/lounge, private pantry, dumbwaiter service and a secluded aft terrace with sunbeds, Jacuzzi, sofa and coffee table. The bridge deck seamlessly blends navigation functions with social spaces, including an indoor-outdoor lounge, sit-up bar, day head and open-air cinema with firepit.

“This boat has one of the most thoughtfully designed layouts we’ve seen in the sub-500 GT class. It’s packed with smart, practical solutions that make living on board incredibly comfortable and functional.” — Aberton Yachts

Design Philosophy

The Bering 165 was created with one clear objective: to merge expedition capability with genuine superyacht comfort and sophistication. Every detail — from the asymmetrical salon that provides extra width and a more spacious social area to the versatile beach club — has been thoughtfully designed to support real life on board, whether for private family cruising or charter operations.

“This is a very special project for us at Valentin Design. I’m genuinely thrilled with how warmly the market has received it and the strong interest it’s already generating in the superyacht segment. We are happy to create a yacht that feels truly unique and perfectly tailored to what today’s clients are looking for.” — Valentin Design

Market Confidence

“Today, we see a clear shift in the market toward long-range cruising capabilities. Owners are increasingly looking for platforms that can support extended voyages. In this context, we believe the B165 is very well positioned. With its concept, engineering approach, and the fact that it is being built in a shipyard with strong production standards, we believe it can effectively meet this growing demand in the market.”

The rapid sale of hull №1, even before construction officially began, confirms strong market confidence in the model. Discussions for the next hulls are already underway.

Bering Yachts expects the Bering 165 to become one of the most capable explorer superyachts in the sub-500 GT segment in the coming years.
