Construction work on the new cabin version of the Gozzo, a 38-footer, is proceeding at full throttle towards a launch in the spring of 2024.
The new model will offer more space on board and better protection on deck with an innovative deckhouse, while also providing a longer bathing platform compared to the best-selling Gozzo 35 from which the design originates.

Apreamare announces that work on the new cabin version of the Gozzo is ongoing without delays and is on track for the launch scheduled for spring 2024. This new version, dubbed the Gozzo 38 Cabin, has advanced significantly beyond the project as it was presented to the public a few months ago.

The first innovation is the platform, extended by 25 centimeters compared to the Gozzo 35, which contributes to bringing the total length of the boat to 11.45 meters. Regarding the dimensions, the presence of the deckhouse adds the considerable internal volumes.

Giovanni Aprea, sales manager of Apreamare, underlines: “The new Gozzo 38 Cabin, conceived according to the intuition of Cataldo Aprea, responds to the growing desire of modern owners for protection and interior habitability. It’s a consideration that makes navigation comfortable throughout the year, in all weather conditions and is especially impactful on the enjoyment of multi-day cruises. Furthermore, this model was designed to navigate the seas of Northern Europe and the great American lakes, as well as the Mediterranean Sea and Turkey waters in particular, which represent a historically important market for us.”

The project was developed by the skill of Marco Casali and Umberto Tagliavini who, starting from the best-selling Gozzo 35, realized a new version ready to sail in every season, thanks above all to the new design of the deckhouse, which is characterized by a sinuous and enveloping structure. Aesthetically, it maintains both the refinement of the open version and the distinctive, iconic look of the Sorrentine gozzo.

The elegant deckhouse conveys a deep sense of protection with the cockpit partly closed, featuring perimeter windows to illuminate the lounge and offer a 360-degree panoramic view.

The harmonious connection between the interiors and exteriors is consummated by a 4-panel glass door that unites a large common space when open and protects the cabins from atmospheric agents when closed. The lounge, in addition to the helm station, houses a functional kitchen and an L-shaped dinette for comfortable lunches and dinners with friends.

The external spaces have been carefully designed as well: a generous stern platform, a large sundeck at the bow, an L-shaped sofa in the cockpit for six people with a retractable table and large lateral gangways.

The high sides allow the increase in internal volumes without compromising the lines of the boat through the reduction of the gunwale by approximately 20 cm and with the addition of a guardrail for greater safety. This design solution adds significant volumes to a seaworthy vessel, underlining its strong cruising and navigation qualities.

The design of the spaces below deck focuses on optimizing habitability with the adoption of a two-cabin, one-head layout. Although the design of the bow area remains substantially unchanged from the Gozzo 35, the benefits of the new configuration are reflected in the bathroom and shower, which are now characterized by a larger walkable area. The guest cabin amidships is wider, making space for a large bed of width 140 centimeters at the headboard.

With regard to the propulsion, a selection is available between twin Volvo Penta D4-270 DPI or D4-320 DPI stern drive configurations and the traditional configuration with Volvo Penta D4-320 shaft drives.
