The first race brings with it a surprise and a confirmation: in the Melges 32 fleet the surprise is the first bullet that bears the signature of the Hungarians of Farfallina of the helmsman Arpad Schatz, while the confirmation in the Melges 20 fleet bears the name of Brontolo owned by Filippo Pacinotti (the American Taylor Canfield as tactician) is absolutely at ease on the same race course where he became European Champion last year.

The second race of the day goes to Enfant Terrible of Alberto Rossi (Vasco Vascotto tactician) who then photocopies the same result in the third and last race of the day.
In the Melges 20 fleet, the Monegasque Nika of Vladimir Prosikhin (with Manuel Weiller) wins the second and third races.

At the end of the first day, the provisional leadership in the Melges32 class is for Enfantt Terrible who with excellent partial  scores (4,1,1 pt.6) takes the lead with an important gap with the first of the pursuers, the Norwegian Pippa II by Lasse Petterson with Gabriele Benussi as tactician (6,2,2 pt. 10) on equal points with the German Corinthian Team Of Heat helmed by Max Augustin (2,4,4: pt. 10).
