The King Felipe of Spain presents the awards to the winners of the Copa del Rey

This Saturday, 5th August, Ses Voltes hosted the presentation of trophies for the 41st Copa del Rey MAPFRE. The ceremony, which took place at 21:00 hours at the end of the last day of competition, was presided over by King Felipe of Spain, who presented the awards to the winners of the eight categories of the great Mediterranean event.

Among the authorities attending the ceremony were also José Manuel Inchausti, Vice President and CEO of MAPFRE Iberia; Emerico Fuster, President of the Real Club Náutico de Palma; Margarita Prohens, President of the Government of the Balearic Islands; Jaime Martínez, Mayor of Palma; Gabriele le Senne, President of the Balearic Parliament; Aina Calvo, Government Delegate; Fernando Luis Gracia, Commander General of the Balearic Islands; Llorenç Galmés, President of the Consell de Mallorca; Javier Sanz, President of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation; and Gregoire Bontoux, CEO of Majorica.

The class champions in the 41st Copa del Rey MAPFRE were the Spanish Palibex-Elena Nova (Majorica ORC 1), Teatro del Soho Caixabank (Majorica ORC 2), Nadir (ClubSwan 42), Team RCNP Balearia (Mallorca Sotheby's Women's Cup) and Patakín (Herbalife J70), the Italian Scugnizza (Majorica ORC 3), the British Just the Job (Majorica ORC 4) and the German Hatari (ClubSwan 50).

The MAPFRE Trophy for the best boat in Handicap Division went to Scugnizza, while the best in One Design Division was Patakín.
