CMC Marine to Showcase New Stabilisation and Manoeuvring Solutions at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival

 

CMC Marine will attend the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival with a range of technological developments for its stabilisation and manoeuvring systems dedicated to yachts and superyachts. The company’s stand will feature several new products developed by its in-house Research & Development department, with the aim of improving efficiency, onboard comfort and overall operational performance.

Among the main innovations is the new LA (Low Aspect Ratio) fin range for the Stabilis Electra stabilisers, an evolution of the previous LR version. Featuring a redesigned rounded leading edge, the new profile has been developed to reduce turbulence and cut drag by up to 30%, delivering improved hydrodynamic efficiency, lower fuel consumption and enhanced stability both underway and at anchor. The new fins will be available for Stabilis Electra systems with fin areas ranging from 2.10 to 7 square metres.

The Waveless STAB range is also being expanded with the introduction of the new STAB 50 and STAB 60 models, designed to deliver high stabilising performance while maintaining compact dimensions. These additions extend the application of the system to yachts of 40 metres and above.

CMC Marine is also introducing a new series of five-blade propellers for its Dualis Electra thrusters. Developed entirely by the company’s R&D team, the new geometry is intended to improve efficiency, reduce noise and enhance manoeuvring precision, while decreasing thrust fluctuations by up to 30% during operation.

Also making its debut is a new capacitive touchscreen display featuring completely redesigned graphics for improved readability, even in direct sunlight. The system integrates CAN NMEA 2000 ports, allowing connection to the onboard network and management of essential data such as propulsion signals and GPS information.

Visitors will also be able to see a Waveless STAB 60 model together with a demonstration of the Energy Recovery System, a technology that recovers the energy generated during stabiliser fin braking and reuses it within the stabilisation cycle, reducing power peaks and overall energy consumption. The stand will also display the complete CMC Marine product range for yachts, superyachts, megayachts and refit projects, while numerous boats exhibited throughout the show will be equipped with the company’s systems.
