Maiora Exuma 42 Touches the Water: New Next Yacht Group Flagship Launched
Yesterday in Piombino, the Maiora Exuma 42 touched the water for the first time before setting course for Viareggio. It marks a key milestone for the new flagship of the Maiora brand, part of Next Yacht Group, and one of the most eagerly awaited projects of the season. PressMare is publishing the first exclusive images of the yacht afloat, still awaiting final outfitting but already revealing the proportions and exterior lines penned by Giorgio Maria Cassetta.

At 42 metres in length, the Exuma 42 departs from the traditional layout of large yachts by placing quality of life on board at the centre of the design through a complete rethink of the interior arrangement. The most innovative feature is found on the main deck, where the full-beam owner’s suite – located forward and featuring two walk-in wardrobes and two independent bathrooms – shares the deck with four VIP guest cabins. This arrangement gives every guest, not only the owner, natural light, expansive glazing and a direct connection with the sea, moving away from the conventional solution that places guest accommodation on the lower deck.

The shared living spaces have also been reimagined. The traditional main saloon has been replaced by a fully glazed open-plan panoramic lounge on the upper deck, designed to provide uninterrupted views from stern to bow. Outside, fold-down terraces and the forward infinity deck further enhance the continuity between interior and exterior spaces, blurring the boundary between the yacht and the surrounding seascape.

The interiors bear the signature of Elie Saab, under the creative direction of Carlo Colombo – A++, combining marble, bronze mirrors and teak, with all craftsmanship carried out in Italy. In keeping with the yacht’s new design philosophy, the lower deck is dedicated entirely to crew accommodation and service areas, providing facilities for up to nine crew members, including cabins, a crew mess, laundry and dedicated storage areas.

Following her launch, the Maiora Exuma 42 now enters the final completion and sea trial phase ahead of delivery to her owner next summer, in time to make her debut at the major September boat shows. Even these first images are enough to highlight the yacht’s impressive dimensions and distinctive profile. The project marks Maiora’s entry into the over-40-metre superyacht segment and represents an important step in the evolution of the brand, which is also preparing to introduce a new line of steel motor yachts.
