SACE Components appoints Teakdecking Systems as exclusive MarineCork distributor in the United States

SACE Components has announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Teakdecking Systems (TDS) for the U.S. market covering MarineCork, a 100% natural cork marine decking solution. The agreement, signed on April 13, 2026, marks a step in the Italian company’s international growth strategy, aiming to consolidate the product’s positioning in one of the most relevant markets for high-end yachting.

Under the agreement, TDS will exclusively distribute MarineCork in the United States, offering shipyards, builders and yacht owners an alternative solution to traditional decking materials. The product is positioned as a sustainable option while maintaining technical characteristics in terms of durability, underfoot comfort and aesthetics, with finishes that can be customized according to onboard design requirements.

Sandro Serena, CEO of SACE Components, stated that the agreement represents “an important step in strengthening our presence in a strategic region for the marine industry,” highlighting the choice of TDS as a partner due to its established presence in the U.S. market and its experience in the high-end yacht segment.

According to Serena, MarineCork combines sustainability, performance and innovative design, meeting the functional and aesthetic requirements of contemporary yachting. The cork surfaces are engineered to ensure long-term performance, enhancing onboard spaces through customizable solutions.

The agreement also aligns with TDS’s strategy to expand its portfolio with low-impact materials. With over forty years of experience, headquarters in Florida and operations in Spain, Teakdecking Systems is a key supplier of teak, composite and cork decking systems, managing the entire process from design and production to onboard installation.

Richard Strauss, CEO of Teakdecking Systems, noted that the partnership enables the introduction of a material aligned with current market demands, increasingly focused on sustainability. According to Strauss, MarineCork integrates naturally into the company’s portfolio, offering a balance between reduced environmental impact and the quality standards required in modern yacht design.
