Sunseeker begins construction of the first hull of the 134 Superyacht
Sunseeker has reached a new milestone in the development programme of its superyacht range with the start of the first lamination of Hull No.1 of the Sunseeker 134 Superyacht. The ceremony took place at the company’s dedicated superyacht production site at Osprey Quay, in Dorset, a facility covering approximately 27,000 square feet and designated for the construction of the next generation of yachts from the British builder.
The start of lamination marks a key stage in the construction process and involves the coordinated work of several departments within the company. According to the shipyard, the construction of the unit will involve more than 100 skilled boatbuilders.
For the occasion, employees gathered at Osprey Quay for a ceremonial moment during which Chief Operating Officer Steve Timms thanked the teams involved in the project, highlighting the collective effort required to reach this stage of construction.
The project is part of a broader development plan for Sunseeker’s superyacht division. The Osprey Quay facilities have undergone a programme of investment aimed at improving infrastructure, production capabilities and workflow, creating an environment specifically designed for the construction of yachts of considerable size and complexity.

The first Sunseeker 134 Superyacht will enter the testing phase in April 2027 and will subsequently be delivered to its owner on the US West Coast, who has previously commissioned two Sunseeker yachts.
The programme also foresees that construction of Hull No.2 will begin as soon as the first hull is removed from the mould.
From a design perspective, the 134 Superyacht has been developed by the shipyard’s in-house design and engineering team.
“This represents an important moment for our Design and Engineering team,” said Ewen Foster, Chief Design Officer at Sunseeker International. “From the external profile to the internal layout, the 134 Superyacht has been developed with the aim of enhancing life on board. The lines, the continuity between interior and exterior spaces and the available volumes have been designed to offer a functional and coherent onboard environment.”
According to Andres Rubio, Chief Executive Officer of Sunseeker International, the project represents one of the first steps in a new industrial phase for the shipyard: “With new ownership, renewed investment and a long-term leadership team now in place, Sunseeker is laying the foundations for a new phase of development in the superyacht segment. The Sunseeker 134 Superyacht is the first step in this journey.”
