The launch

Ameglia, March 2026. Forte Yachts has launched the first hull of the Forte 47 Gran Turismo, a 47-foot aluminium yacht built at the shipyard in Ameglia, near La Spezia. The launch marks the brand's entry into the luxury motor yacht segment, following a construction period the company describes as guided by craftsmanship and engineering precision.

Forte Yachts is the leisure brand founded by the team behind West Navaltech Srl, an Ameglia-based company with an established track record in the production of high-performance aluminium vessels and components for superyacht builders. The brand name draws on the concept of structural strength and the aesthetic heritage of Forte dei Marmi.

Design and naval architecture

Both the exterior design and the interior of the Forte 47 Gran Turismo were conceived by Paolo Giordano. The interior fit-out was carried out by Genesis Interiors. Naval architecture and structural engineering are the work of Umberto Tagliavini, whose background covers high-performance yacht design.

The kinematic systems for the folding hull openings and the onboard technical systems were engineered in-house by West Navaltech Srl, a decision that allows the shipyard to retain direct control over the full production process.

Propulsion

This first hull is configured in the Gran Turismo version, fitted with three Mercury Verado V12 600 HP outboard engines. The propulsion arrangement was selected to deliver acceleration, manoeuvrability and reliability within the premium aluminium yacht segment.

Statement from the shipyard

"This launch represents a milestone for us, both emotionally and strategically. Seeing the Forte 47 Gran Turismo in the water confirms that our vision has become reality. It perfectly expresses our philosophy: distinctive design, bespoke quality and uncompromising attention to detail. It is on these foundations that we will build the future of our brand." Fernando Moricca, co-founder, Forte Yachts
Next steps

Following the launch, the Forte 47 Gran Turismo will undergo a sea trial programme to validate performance, onboard systems, structural integrity and overall comfort. The first official images, released at the launch ceremony, document the proportions and profile of the yacht.
