Grand Banks Yachts Introduces the Grand Banks 62
Grand Banks Yachts has introduced the Grand Banks 62, a new model that enhances speed and range, marking a new era in performance cruising motoryachts. The announcement was made in January 2026.
Grand Banks Yachts Limited, with its 70-year history, continues to innovate in the design and construction of long-distance cruising yachts. The Grand Banks 62 is the latest addition to their lineup, designed to offer improved performance in terms of speed and range. This model is part of the company's ongoing efforts to advance performance cruising motoryachts.
The Grand Banks 62 can reach a top speed in the mid 30-knot range, depending on the engine selection, with a high cruise speed of 28 knots. For extended adventures, the yacht offers a range of 2,000 nautical miles with a 10-percent reserve at 10 knots. At a cruising speed of 20 knots, the fuel consumption averages 32 gallons per hour, which is considered efficient compared to other motoryachts in its class.
The yacht's V-Warp Technology hull maintains a running attitude of about six degrees, optimizing waterline contact for enhanced efficiency and speed. This design feature is integral to the yacht's performance capabilities.
The standard engine configuration includes twin Volvo D13 engines, each rated at 900 horsepower, paired with Twin Disc MGX 5096A marine transmissions. Optional engine packages are available, including twin Volvo D13s with shaft drives rated at 1,000 horsepower each, or Volvo IPS 1200S engines rated at 900 horsepower each.
Grand Banks Yachts continues to build on its legacy of pioneering yacht design, offering models that cater to the needs of long-distance cruisers seeking both performance and efficiency.
