Numarine unveils details of 40MXP superyacht
Numarine, a prominent yacht builder, has disclosed details of its latest flagship, the 40MXP superyacht, in Istanbul, Turkey. This 40-metre vessel is an evolution of the 37XP model, designed with a Mediterranean focus and offering a 6,000 nautical mile range at 8 knots.
The 40MXP superyacht, part of Numarine's XP Series, was launched in July 2025, with additional units currently under construction. The shipyard plans to deliver two more units to owners in the coming year. The 'MXP' designation stands for 'Mediterranean Explorer', highlighting the yacht's emphasis on open-air living, typical of the Mediterranean region.
The 40MXP retains the explorer DNA of the XP line, combining robust ocean-going capabilities with enhanced lifestyle features. The yacht's naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini, while Can Yalman is responsible for the exterior styling. This design approach blends rugged explorer functionality with refined Mediterranean aesthetics.
Key features of the 40MXP include a strong vertical bow, purposeful geometry, and large windows, which are characteristic of the XP Series. The yacht is longer than its predecessor, the 37XP, and offers a more open aft section, aligning with its Mediterranean character.
The first hull of the 40MXP was launched in July, followed by a second in October. Numarine is currently building several more units, reflecting the model's popularity and demand. The yacht's design caters to owners seeking a balance between exploration capabilities and lifestyle amenities.
Numarine's 40MXP superyacht is designed to meet the desires of yacht owners who value both exploration and comfort. With its extended range and Mediterranean-inspired design, the 40MXP aims to provide a versatile and enjoyable yachting experience.
