Saim IoT Monitoring System

Among the top innovative products and services debuting at the Genoa Boat Show Saim Marine presents  Saim IoT Monitoring System — a solution that integrates hardware and software to monitor the key parameters of all SAIM products on board, providing complete oversight through a single, intuitive graphical interface.

Exclusively developed and marketed by Saim Marine in collaboration with major Italian shipyards, the new service enables real-time data collection on the performance of Saim Marine systems. An integration module, connected to each device, gathers essential parameters — such as power loads, consumption, temperatures, engine hours, and system states — and consolidates them into a user-friendly interface accessible to the vessel crew, charter company, or shipyard.

The system's alarm management enables timely actions when necessary. The comprehensive overview of onboard systems allows predictive maintenance, helping to reduce costs, minimize downtime and optimize scheduling The system includes multiple levels of data access, with technical or simplified graphical interfaces tailored to different types of users, designed for industry professionals but also responsive and user-friendly for captains and boat owners.

Different access to users doesn’t just concern the graphical interface. As mentioned, Saim IoT Monitoring System architecture is modular, allowing different levels of access to the integrated data. For example, the shipyard can monitor equipment on its fleet, while just granting its regional dealers or charter companies access to the data of the boats that were sold or rented. Dealers or charter companies can grant end users access just to their own vessel data.

Furthermore, Saim IoT Monitoring System can send real-time notifications selected by the operator — a feature designed to give shipyards immediate insight into system performance and enable prompt or preventive action. In summary, the platform delivers speed, simplicity, and better organized maintenance management. With this service, Saim Marine takes another step forward in providing innovative, high-quality solutions to its clients.

OPMS SEAMLESS INTEGRATION, EFFECTIVE ONBOARD ENERGY MANAGEMENT

SAIM Marine presents OPMS Seamless Integration, an Onboard Power Management System.

Designed and manufactured by SAIM, OPMS Seamless Integration continuously makes energy available for different scenarios such as i.e.“night mode”.

OPMS Seamless Integration is available in 3 different modules:

·        OPMS Seamless Transfer: it ensures continuous energy management from Rehlko gen sets (equipped with parallel P-Gen) to shore power with no blackout

·        OPSM EVO: beyond shore power it also integrates an inverter and a battery pack to automatically ensure continuous energy management even when gen sets are off

·        OPMS POWER: it includes further energy sources such as solar panels

A control panel manages energy distribution and switch among the sources of energy.  It can also check load peaks to reduce energy consumption and preventing energy waste.

Available on request also remote control for service to verify gen set operation at any time and plan predictive maintenance.

Evo complies with ISO, IEC, RINA.

ZIPWAKE PRO, AUTOMATIC TRIM CONTROL UP TO NEXT LEVEL

Zipwake PRO, the latest and recently announced innovation by the Swedish company, is introduced for the first time at the Genoa Boatshow.

Higher responsiveness  and greater precision of boat trim control also mean greater safety while cruising. The Swedish company Ziwake -  www.zipwake.com -, which ten years ago introduced the technologically advanced system of  interceptor trim, keeps on aiming at more and more ambitious goals and introduces their latest innovation.

Zipwake PRO is the ultimate upgrade to the renowned Zipwake dynamic trim control systems. Five times faster, it delivers unmatched responsiveness, greater precision and more dynamic functionality.

Zipwake PRO interceptors move five times faster offering significant improvement in performance, precision and safety. The increased blade speed means quicker adjustment, allowing the system to respond rapidly to every sea conditions. PRO continuously adjusts the boat trim to maintain the correct pitch angle set by the user. Regardless any sea conditions the system constantly works to keep the boat at the optimal running trim angle.

The ultra-fast interceptors ensure quicker, more precise correction to rolling motion caused by changing conditions. The system responds instantly, keeping the boat steady and passengers comfortable. With sharper balanced turns, the system dynamically adjusts heeling angle ensuring smoother, controlled turns at any speed.

PRO is equipped with a sleek adaptive interface that displays relevant information of current conditions.

With the same compact design PRO is suitable for any boats in the range 20 to 100 ft. and allow existing Zipwake users to upgrade to PRO.

ENTERON, A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT

The made-in-Germany Enteron system – www.enteronsolutions.com - makes its debuts at Genoa Boatshow among the large range of innovative solutions Saim Marine keeps on providing to their customers.

Enteron is a fully biological mini-wastewater treatment plant for sailing and motor yachts that can treat and purifies wastewater directly on board and returns it to stagnant and flowing waters.

It ensures independence from land-based waste disposal systems. No need to worry about emptying the waste holding tank.

Enteron  is the smallest certified wastewater treatment plant and it is in compliance with the wastewater limits certified by IMO/MED (Marine Equipment Directive) 2014/90/UE, by IMO/MARPOL (International Convention for the Prevention of  Pollution from Ships) and MEPC (Marine Environment Protection Committee).

The technology ensures that only clear, clean water is responsibly discharged into the environment with no need of using chemicals.

The solid particles of toilet waste are treated in the first tank of Enteron® system with a chopper pump. The remaining particles are pumped through the unique enteron hose system and penetrate into a second tank container and from there into a third. During this process the particles form a sludge that is pumped out and passed back through the pre-treatment process. The now-resulting clean liquid can be discharged into the sea.

Two models are available in 12 and 24 V: Enteron 50 (1500 x 600 x 550 mm – empty weight 50 kg – also available as slit unit) and 80 (1500 x 1000 x 550 mm – empty weight 75 kg). Daily load sewage water is 50 l for the small model and recommended for 2-4 people while Enteron 80 is suitable for 4-6 people with a daily load sewage water of 80 l.

Suitable for retrofit. Custom options also on hand to use the existing waste-holding tanks on board.

Further features include easy and quick installation, low maintenance costs, fully automatically emptying of the tank through a sensor or even manually in case of overload or during temporary non operation.  Energy consumption is so low – about 17Ah (12 V) daily for two people - that can be easily generated  by a solar panel or wind turbine directly in the ship battery bank.

JOY, ONE ACCESSORY FOR TWO PURPOSES

Saim Marine introduces Joy, a deck hardware by the Milan-based Bonomi (www.bonominet.it).

Joy is a patented self-tailing cleat, designed for practical, fast and easy mooring.  It is a perfect mooring aid for all vessels: no more hard pulling on the hands to get your boat moored properly and secure.

Instead of the two usual pillars of a cleat, Joy has a motorised self-tailer on one side and a turning shaft on bearings on the other, activated by a switch. It combines a normal cleat with an electric winch/capstan in one piece. No need for the crew to use tonnage winches, usually installed on large yachts, it allows a mooring line to be pulled in and kept under tension before being eventually fastened in the normal way round the cleat.

Crafted in high quality stainless steel AISI 316 L, suitable for vessels from 30’ to 95’, for mooring lines from 15 to 35 mm,  supplied at 12 V or 24, JOY is the all-in-one clever self-tailing cleat operated by a simple footswitch – single or double - available in four models:  80, 100, 300 and 400 kg continuous load.

The 400 kg model is only available 24 V and is supplied with double footswitch and control box as a standard.
