Honourable Mention in the Interior Design – Intelligent Home category at the DNA Paris Awards for F.lli Razeto & Casareto’s sculptural door handle.
As the market continues its incessant internationalisation, F.lli Razeto & Casareto and its beautifully-crafted handles continue to rack up the plaudits abroad.
The SWIM door handle, which won at the 2018 International Yachts and Aviation Award, and the 2019 German Design Awards, has now been given an Honourable Mention in the Interior Design – Intelligent Home category at the DNA Paris Awards.
The awards ceremony took place on June 28 at Les Magazines Generaux in Paris as part of the Summer Design Conference which also played host to a series of interviews, talks, seminars, meetings and parties.
The SWIM, which is the creative brainchild of Giangi Razeto, is a limited edition door handle made from frozen crystal and satin-finish chromed brass with a multi-functional luminous grip. The latter is inspired by the Free Go range, which has interchangeable grips, and, most particularly, the Free Go CULT range of sculptural door handles.
Made from beautifully sculpted brass, the SWIM’s design is inspired by water flowing over metal with the grip in the shape of a mermaid.
Artistic aspects apart, what makes the SWIM series absolutely unique is that the lighting system inside the grip is dimmable which means it can be used to communicate using light. This is particularly important in terms of safety as the SWIM has its own power supply and can indicate an exit in case of blackouts or smoke filling a room. It is also, of course, a beautiful and artistic high-tech accessory which can seamlessly be integrated with domotics systems (management and entertainment).
Always very busy on an international level, in the very same week, F.lli Razeto & Casareto, which celebrates its 100th year in business in 2020, also brought an installation of its ultra-high-end handles to the SuperYacht Design Forum at the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour, London.
Hosted by The Super Yacht Group, in partnership with the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, the Super Yacht Design Forum took place on June 25 and 26, and explored new ways of thinking, sharing leading-edge solutions and creating inspirational new ideas, to generate the energy to power the future of yachting at its most exclusive.
