Yesterday, June 8th, the SDA Bocconi School of Business Management, in collaboration with the school's Sailing Club, hosted a talk with Max Sirena, Skipper and Team Director of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, together with Vasco Vascotto, Sailing Team Member.
The event was part of the "Leadership Series", a cycle of seminars designed to allow the students to share the experiences of leading figures in the international economic and cultural scene.

During the talk Max and Vasco, taking their cue from their most recent challenge for the America's Cup campaign, talked about Team Leadership and illustrated the team's environmental sustainability project, in collaboration with their sustainability partners One Ocean Foundation and The Woolmark Company.

In describing the values of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, Max Sirena emphasized the importance of having placed young people, capable of thinking “out of the box” in support to the more experienced team members, favouring the intergenerational exchange. “It was definitely one of the team’s strengths”.

“Team Building and Team Motivation are the key factors for team cohesion. In a group it is important to know how to support each other to get through very tough moments. By learning to lose together we will also be able to win.” were the words of Vasco Vascotto on the topic of leadership.

In occasion of World Oceans Day, the theme of sustainability and the protection of the seas was also addressed: “It is a challenge that involves all of humanity.”
Max Sirena appealed to the responsibility of everyone: “In recent years our habits have changed, and we are putting the planet at risk. We need to reconsider our way of life and the impact our actions have on the environment and the oceans and ensure that the markets also adapt to more sustainable lifestyles."
