The race for the conquest of the Auld Mug is set to start

The Match for the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada is officially set to begin on March 10th

Auckland, 5th March 2021 - Following the government's announcement to reduce the Covid-19 Alert level in Auckland, the first race of the America's Cup Match has been set to begin on Wednesday March 10th shortly after 4pm (NZT) (NZT) with two scheduled races each day. The first team to win 7 races will win the 36th America's Cup presented by Prada.

During level 2 of the Covid-19 alert, the racecourses B, C and D, closest to the coast, will not be included in order to avoid crowds. All courses will become available for racing only when Auckland drops back to alert level 1.
