While the striking exterior lines of the Wider 165 – project ‘Cecilia’ – clearly show her to be the sister of the Wider 150 ‘Bartali’, like all siblings she has her own distinct personality expressed in her interior décor. La Spezia based Ideaitalia design studio has crafted an interior that is both elegant and exciting, making the most of innovative Italian style, craftsmanship and finishes.

The rigor and purity of the white oak, combines with a multitude of light, fresh materials and the great natural brightness to enhance the sense of space while highlighting the elegance of the sophisticated design scheme.

Tying in with the predominantly pale tones, the oak has been finely scarified to accentuate the grain before being laid in contrasting panels to create a 3-D effect. Reminiscent of the sea-worn beauty of driftwood, this natural material has a warm tactile quality.

The use of carefully chosen accents of colour and natural materials completes a delicate sense of harmony. The soft sheen of polished steel and extra-clear mirrors contrast with the warmth of sand-coloured leather, and elegant Calcutta marble completes the harmonious palette.

“As on the WIDER 150, we took advantage of the innovative distribution of technical areas to create an unconventional layout, giving the guest a surprising increase in volume for a yacht of this category.” Say Alessio Battistini and Davide Bernardini, co-owners of Ideaeitalia studio design “The owner's suite private terrace, the abundance of glazed surfaces and the large sliding openings of the sky lounge further enhance the sensation of space and contact with the sea.”

All the spaces have been designed to give the owner an enchanting feeling of comfort and discreet, understated luxury. The fresh colours, contrasting textures and materials – from wood, to leathers and marbles – come together to create a balanced, warm space that clearly reflect the Italian pedigree of design and craftsmanship throughout.
