The WIDER 130 includes:

- Same diesel electric power package used on the WIDER 150 & 165

- Ability to run solely on battery power, allowing up to 6 hours of silence at anchor

- Huge deck space, totalling more than 200m2 including beach club

- Exceptional accommodation for 12 guests in 6 cabins, including a full beam Owner's cabin on main deck

- Class leadingly low levels of noise and vibration

- Shallow draft of 2m (6' 7'')

The WIDER beach Club

A constant feature across the WIDER range of superyachts, are the magnificent beach clubs and the WIDER 130 is no exception. The transom door folds down when at anchor to create a 40m2 oasis, completely private and right on the water. Inside, there is a bar and storage for water toys.

Accommodation

Light, airy spaces fill the WIDER 130 thanks to the extensive use of glass. An ample beam of 8.40m, together with floor to ceiling windows, ensure the main saloon is generous and yet the connection with the sea is ever present. On the upper deck, the full-height sliding glass panels divide the sky lounge from the aft deck; when opened this allows for an area of 85m2, ideal for entertaining friends family.
The owner and his guests are treated to a total of six generous staterooms, exceptional for a yacht of this size and ideal for those who wish to charter – that stretch further aft than on a traditional yacht of similar size, well into the area usually reserved for an engine room.
The spacious full beam master stateroom on the main deck includes a dedicated owner's study as well as a sea terrace on the starboard side, allowing for breakfast or evening cocktails to be enjoyed over the water.

Exterior Spaces

Totaling more than 200m2, there are three distinct outdoor luxury areas for the owner and guests to enjoy:

1. the foredeck for sun worshippers and those looking ahead

2. bridge deck aft for alfresco dining & entertaining

3. a generous beach club, famous across the WIDER range, to enjoy the close connection with the sea

Outdoor relaxation areas are in abundance. The upper aft deck is kept free for sun loungers and exterior furniture. Forward of the wheelhouse, a large seating recess is carved into the superstructure. For those who prefer to relax closer to the water, the stern garage opens and the transom door folds down to create an expansive beach club.

Leisure equipment

There is ample tender storage located forward, creatively hidden from sight while at the same time remaining easily accessible. There is capacity to stow an 5.0m tender along with two jet skis. All of the tenders and toys can be launched and retrieved by a crane housed out of sight within the yacht's superstructure.

The WIDER diesel-electric propulsion

The WIDER 130 benefits from the same Diesel Electric technology, coupled to an Azimuthal pod propulsion system, as the other WIDER superyachts permitting greater volume and better located guest suites than on other similar sized yachts. There are no main engines or shafts leading to propellers on WIDER yachts: two variable speed generators serve all of the requirements from hotel and cables supply power to the electric motors on top of the azimuthal pods. This allows for greater flexibility with position and size of the engine room. By reducing the Engine room size, this frees up space in the aft quarter and results in remarkably generous accommodation – and the ability to comfortably include a 6thguest cabin, exceptional for yachts of this size- for both guests and crew.

The propulsion system is also completely modular, so the WIDER 130 can cruise using only the battery packs, in ZEM (Zero Emission Mode), or using up to two variable speed generators. In ZEM mode, the yacht can sit at anchor for up to 8 hours, while running all hotel services including A/C, in complete silence with no generators running.

All the onboard energy sources are controlled by the WIDER Power Management System, a smart and fully integrated system which flexibly controls the power supplied by the shore connection, the gen-set and the battery packs, distributing it between the hotel requirements, the propulsion system and the battery pack charging, as required.
Our special partner in this project, and the supplier of our Power Management system, is the market-leading Nidec (Previously Emerson Industrial Automation, which was acquired by Nidec in Feb 2017).

The propulsion package on board the WIDER 130 affords significant advantages compared to conventional shaft-line propulsion.

Range

A range of 2,600nm is expected at 12 knots, increasing to 3,400nm at the economical speed of 10 knots. The yacht has a top speed of 14 knots and can also run solely on batteries, in total silence, when in zero emission mode.

Crew

The WIDER 130 is built to comply with the latest standards (LY3) for crew. 7 crew accommodated in three twin cabins on the lower deck as well as a sizeable cabin for the captain next to the wheelhouse.

An ample crew mess, with additional cold and dry storage is on the lower deck.
