The Dutch superyacht fleet has another impressive new member following the launch by Van der Valk of the 32-metre Jangada 2. Created for a repeat client, this innovative motoryacht is the fifth and largest to date of the Raised Pilothouse custom-series line. Jangada 2 is now being put though her sea trial paces ahead of final delivery to the delighted owners in June.

Working in close partnership with designers Nick Top and Guido de Groot as well as the Van der Valk team, the owners of Jangada 2 made the most of all their experiences on their first Raised Pilothouse to ensure their new yacht is even more customised to their requirements. The specific wishes were very detailed, such as ensuring that the VIP suite bathroom on the main deck could be closed off for use by guests during the day without entering the bedroom itself, adding to the crew accommodations and designing an even more spacious galley by optimising the functional area under the pilothouse.
IT'S YOUR STYLE

This kind of smart thinking typifies the genuinely bespoke nature of this yacht, reinforcing why Van der Valk’s Raised Pilothouse line has been such a hit. And there are many more ways in which Jangada 2 makes a clear statement of her own. She has aminimalistic interior style that is based primarily on whitewashed European oak. The flybridge deck has an outdoor dining area, a sunbathing space with plenty of loose sunbeds, an all-aluminium hardtop providing ample shade and a smart wet bar.

The main deck aft is spacious with curved glass sliding doors to the lounge, while a VIP suite forward offers fine views. The full-beam owner’s stateroom is on the lower deck and includes large his & her wardrobes and a dedicated office area. There are three other cabins sleeping seven adults and children, bringing the possible guest total to eleven.

Jangada 2 will head to the Mediterranean in June for a relaxing summer of cruising for the owner along the Côte d'Azur. The owners have agreed to share their new prized possession with the wider public as she makes her debut in the suitably glamorous surroundings of the Cannes boat show in September.
