Each day was more beautiful than the one before, every day was more and more fun. On day four the wind was up and the SW Rendezvous and Trophy fleet, after the scheduled morning sail and a picnic in Cala Longa, organised their own match race. An impromptu start was organised off Punta Lodi and the yachts sailed in excellent conditions until the late afternoon.

Conditions were calm on the final day of the Rendezvous, with the breeze picking up around noon as the fleet headed out to enjoy a leisurely sail.
And all of a sudden it was time for the prize giving ceremony that concludes the event.

SW 94 Aragon won the Southern Wind Trophy for their racing verve and, with two couples sharing ownership and enjoying racing all together, for their perfect interpretation of the Southern Wind family feeling and collaborative attitude. SW82 Ammonite and her new owner were also awarded for the hard work and enthusiastic preparation they put in to the Rendezvous, using it as a prolonged practice session for the racing they plan to do in the future. SW100 Freebird was commended for the performance progress they have made since their participation in the previous Rendezvous.

The 30th Anniversary Southern Wind Trophy was one of those magical moments that you wish would never end. All we can say now is arrivederci and fair winds until we see you again!
Thank you to our partners: North Sails, Pantaenius Yachting Insurance, SLAM and Bellavista Wine for their enthusiastic participation.
