Palumbo Group is proud to announce the official entry to the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss). This important achievement opens the Group’s celebration of half a century of activity.
Palumbo in fact started in 1967 as a fairly small carpentry and metalwork yard to support the local shiprepair industry. Today the company is an international group with a strong family approach, grown to become a major player in the shipping industry and is building up its reputation and awareness in the luxury yacht world for both new build and refit-repair.
Serving the Mediterranean and East Atlantic with 7 shipyards, a branch office in Monaco and a team of professionals, Palumbo Superyachts (refit/repair division) supports customers with a wide range of time sensitive multitasking services.
The new build division which has been operating under Columbus Yachts since year 2008 recently welcomed ISA Yachts - one of the most celebrated international brands in the superyacht industry.
“Being a member of SYBAss”, said Giuseppe Palumbo – Ceo of Palumbo Group, “is a reward for our passion and determination, which characterized 50 years of activity, just as the attention and the high standards that we adhere to in the interests of both the industry and the environment”.

WHAT IS SYBAss
The Superyacht Builders Association gathers the world’s most important superyacht builders, both in power and in sail. The Association has several goals: it plays a fundamental role in the development of regulations regarding safety and environmental impact and at the same time pushes for the professional growth of the worldwide superyacht industry and the verification of industry impact on the economy. SYBAss members are required to have built at least three yachts over 40 meters in length in the last ten years and account for more than 50% of the global production of superyachts.
