The first ship of the Overmarine Group's new fast displacement line in aluminium, the Mangusta Gransport ‘EL LEON’ , was awarded the 2018 World Yachts Trophies in the “Best Exterior Design”, 50-82 M category.
This prestigious award acknowledges the work of the shipyard which, together with designer Alberto Mancini, has skilfully built a yacht bound to become the new benchmark in the segment of aluminium Fast Displacement Yacht.
Mangusta Gransport 54 perfectly blends performance, long range, style and maximum onboard liveability.
This award, in particular, pays tribute to her profile of unmatched beauty and to the incredible craftsmanship required to build her, which stems from a truly shared philosophy and an invaluable synergy between the Architect and Overmarine Group Engineering Department.
Mangusta is one of the few remaining family-owned brands in the yachting industry. The Balducci family has been building boats since the 1950s. The brand is driven by a strong focus on innovation and a pioneering approach to the use of cutting-edge technologies aimed at ensuring high speed performance, which go hand in hand with the utmost comfort. Over the years, the Overmarine Group has gained a solid reputation for its outstanding engineering, painstaking attention to details and finishes, the ability to interpret customer needs and requests, and outstanding reliability – before, during and after delivery.
The shipyard has never stopped diversifying its product range and pursuing technological innovation. Besides the Mangusta Maxi Open line, which has become the market benchmark among fast sports yachts, and the Mangusta Oceano range that marked the Group’s debut into long-range displacement yachts, its product range now includes the Mangusta GranSport line – a flawless combination of top performance and transoceanic range.
The Mangusta Gransport 54 can reach a top speed of 30 knots and cross the ocean at cruising speed. With a range of 4,200 nautical miles, she can handle any and all sea conditions in utmost comfort. In short, she offers incredible versatility and a new way of interpreting the sea for owners to enjoy a fully custom-made experience.
“El Leon” will make her official début at the Monaco Yacht Show (26-29 September).
