The iconic Yacht Club de Monaco, with its unique position on the international yachting scene, will host the official opening of the 2018 The Nations Trophy Mediterranean League. From 27th to 31st March the Swan One Design classes, ClubSwan 50 - ClubSwan 42 - Swan 45, will compete to conquer the first leg of this new circuit.

Monaco Swan One Design will offer to every competing Swan Owner a fantastic 4-day programme of high-end racing and social occasions.

One-design racing, defined by clear rules, is synonymous with pure sport in yachting competitions. Yachts are the same and it is all about strategy, tactics, crew work, and sailing technique.
One-design racing is for sailors who really like competition and still enjoy sailing.

“We are very glad to have such an important Yacht Club as partner of our Swan One Design regattas. The Nations Trophy Med league couldn’t have a better christening!” commented Leonardo Ferragamo, Nautor’s Swan Group Executive Chairman.

“Sharing timeless values with the Swan series, a subtle essence of elegance and performance, the Yacht Club de Monaco is pleased to open its doors to this prestigious class” said Bernard d’Alessandri, General Secretary of the YCM.

The Mediterranean League will continue with some classic Med rendezvous: SailRacing Palmavela, organized in early May by the RCNP in Palma de Mallorca; the Giraglia Rolex Cup, organized in mid-June by the YCI and featuring dedicated windward-leeward races off Saint-Tropez along with a special prize for the Offshore race; and closing in Palma de Mallorca at the beginning of August with the legendary Copa del Rey also organized by RCNP.

The prize-giving for TNT Mediterranean League will be in Porto Cervo during the 20th edition of the Rolex Swan Cup scheduled for 9th - 16th September 2018.
