The Les Voiles de St Tropez is an unmissable event in the Mediterranean circuit. Playing host to no fewer than 4,000 sailors for 10 days and registering some 300 boats is a feat that the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez pulls off in style each and every year to ensure the success of Les Voiles.

16 Swan yachts attended the event and the regatta proved to be one of the very best, thanks to warm and windy weather welcoming all participants which after dying off for the first race, thankfully returned and blessed the regatta for the rest of the week.

Another superb performance was delivered by Swan 53 “Music” who finished first in class B, repeating the same fantastic result from the 2016 Les Voiles de St Tropez. This is the last but not least success, indeed James Blakemore, Owner of “Music”, has consistently shown winning form in several remarkable victories including the Rolex Swan Cup 2016 in class ORC Grand Prix.

‘’Les Voiles de Saint Tropez has become a regular regatta for Swan 53 “Music”, with an enviable record of three wins in our class in the last six years!” Commented James Blakemore, Owner of “Music”. “We went into this regatta with our normal preparation with the priorities of eliminating risk and mistakes. This meant a thorough service of all equipment limiting gear failure as much as possible. This year we had most of our regular crew from Cape Town who understand Music’s mode and trim. We never go into a regatta with big expectations but concentrate on getting around the course mechanically sound and avoiding crew errors. This was indeed the case in this regatta. Combine this with a few good starts and we feel confident that we can get good results. Once again great week for “Music” and a really solid team performance in the beautiful waters around St Tropez!”.
