The Monfalcone production site in Italy, where the Monte Carlo Yachts brand’s large motor yachts are built, will be taking on production for the CNB Yachts brand’s monohull sailing superyachts from September 2019. This Italian site is fully aligned with the brand’s needs thanks to its flexible industrial capabilities, calibrated for producing luxury units requiring high levels of customization and small series.

With a painting booth, the dockside site is ideally located on the Adriatic Sea, which will also make it possible to bring CNB Yachts’ boats closer to their customers, who sail primarily in the Mediterranean.

“This is undeniably an opportunity for CNB Yachts, which will be able to benefit from industrial facilities that are designed specifically for luxury large units, with the outstanding quality and know-how built up by the teams at Monfalcone”, confirms Vincent Arnaud, CNB Yachts brand representative.

“We are delighted to be welcoming the CNB Yachts’ sailing models to Monfalcone, because many of us are also passionate about sailing! We are committed to applying the same high standards as for our motor yachts to build these magnificent sailing yachts, for which we will capitalize on all the experience gained producing the exclusive superyachts developed by the Monte Carlo Yachts team”, assures Fabrizio Iarrera, CEO of Monte Carlo Yachts.

CNB Yachts’ arrival in Italy follows the decision by Groupe Beneteau to specialize its Bordeaux site in building large multihull units. “In a buoyant market environment for multihulls, we want to effectively support the arrival on the market of our new EXCESS brand from next season, while continuing to develop Lagoon, which is the world leaderfor catamaran cruisers”, explains Yann Masselot, CEO of Construction Navale Bordeaux.

“This realignment of activities in Bordeaux around multihull production will accelerate the increase in production capacity and bring operational efficiency improvements. The experience built up by the Monte Carlo Yachts team producing exclusive superyachts will support the absolute excellence of CNB’s sailing yachts. Alongside this, the transfer to Monfalcone will make it possible to consolidate the production of high-end yachts, while developing synergies between brands that stand for absolute excellence with CNB and Monte Carlo Yachts”, adds Christophe Caudrelier, Managing Director Europe, Groupe Beneteau Boat Division.

The proposed modification of activities at Construction Navale Bordeaux will be rolled out after consulting with employee representatives, with plans for all the employees concerned to continue with their missions within the Bordeaux-based company.
