Lurssen M/Y Global arrives to Icon Yachts shipyard

M/Y Global (ex- Kismet 68 meter) now 74 meter Lurssen built in 2007, is currently undergoing a maintenance period at  Icon Yachts shipyard as she is getting ready for her Caribbean season this winter.

It took only 6 days for M/Y Global to arrive to Harlingen from Ibiza, making their arrival on the 22nd of September.

Project Manager, Frank Mens mentioned ‘we managed to complete a lot of work which normally would take about 6 weeks, we did it in 3 weeks during the dry dock period. We worked weekends and double shifts to make sure we deliver on time’.

Captain of M/Y Global mentioned ‘We were very well welcomed by the entire team at Icon, the refit process so far has been very smooth. Anytime there was an issue the staff were always available and all problems that arised have been resolved, we are very happy with the service and team’.

Owners Representative, Carolyn Clark stated ‘the Icon team are a pleasure to work with, always willing to assist in any way possible'.

The scope of work included full hull and underwater servicing, exterior paint repairs and antifouling, engineering works and interior details.
