Trieste, January 25, 2018 – Fincantieri started the year 2018 with a particularly important project with regards to safety. The welfare of all the workers, together with the care and improvement of every working environment, have always been strategic factors for the development of the company, as part of a vision that considers safety a fundamental value and an essential objective.

On this basis, the project “Insieme in sicurezza” came into life, consisting in a videotraining targeted to the Group’s Italian yards’ workers and mainly to all the employees of the external companies, which comprehend around 30,000 people, women and men of different nationalities and ethnic groups.

Starting with January, as a condition for new workers acceding the different yards, the  video was shown to all the workers. The course attendance, lasting about 2 hours and 30 minutes, takes place in areas used and managed for this purpose.

The topics addressed range from a presentation of the yards to the explanation of the legislation in force, from the analysis of risks deriving from specific operations of the shipbuilding industry to the different protection and prevention systems.

"Insieme in sicurezza" is a highly tailor product  available in 10 versions, fine-tuned for each of the Group’s production unit of the group, which has then been translated into the 10 most common languages in the yards, with a final total number of 100 editions.

This initiative confirms the company's constant research and commitment to support, within its production system, the best integration and interaction among all the subjects  involved,  fully complying  with the rules protecting safety at work and of the environment.
